We had an amazing stay at a quiet hotel on the beach. the staff was pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast had a great variety, with perfectly cooked scramble eggs. the room was amazing, with a nice bathroom and a good firm mattress. the hotel was clean and well-maintained, and the sea view from our balcony was worth it. we had a relaxing and enjoyable experience at Axis Vermar Conference & Beach.

axis vermar conference & beach exceeded my expectations during this romantic trip to povoa de varzim. the lovely clean hotel had great spa facilities, a stocked mini bar at cheap prices, and extremely clean rooms with balconies overlooking the sea. the sound of the waves was so relaxing.

limited swimming pool hours

I recently stayed at Axis Vermar in Povoa de Varzim for my wife's birthday. We booked a romantic package and had a lovely last-night treat. The breakfast selection was great, and the family club offered free childcare during specific hours. The outdoor pool, although not exceptional, was heated and enjoyable. A highlight was the amazing restaurant Maresco just across the street at the beach.

Despite some positive aspects, I would be happy to recommend this hotel.

While the breakfast options were somewhat limited for a 4-star hotel, we still enjoyed our meals.

As someone who enjoys backpacking, I appreciated the hotel's excellent beachfront location, just a few meters away from the ocean. The view was breathtaking, and it made for a perfect spot to relax and soak up the sun. The friendly and helpful staff always made sure I had everything I needed during my stay. The buffet breakfast was fantastic with a wide variety of food options, and the convenient opening times allowed me to start my day at my own pace.

The hotel's location is ideal for families with small kids as it is close to several very good restaurants and just next to the beach. Furthermore, it is conveniently located near the Metro station which takes you into Porto, making it easy to explore the city. Additionally, the hotel is situated near the center of Povoa, providing easy access to local shops and attractions.

The hotel's dining arrangements and service were not up to par. Some guests mentioned that the evening dining experience was chaotic and overcrowded, resulting in a less than enjoyable mealtime.

This place is right on the beach which made it very convenient for us to enjoy the sand and sea. The rooms had a great view of the beach and the promenade. We also loved that it was close to the seaside and we could easily walk there. The staff provided excellent service, from room service to housekeeping. They were always friendly and attentive to our needs. The facilities were top-notch, with amenities like ironing facilities, heating, air conditioning, and even a mini-bar in our room. We especially enjoyed the balcony and terrace where we could relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. The in-room safe and soundproofed rooms ensured that we had a peaceful and secure stay. the hotel provided us with a comfortable and luxurious experience.

We would highly recommend this hotel to our family and friends. It exceeded our expectations and provided us with enhanced comfort and quality services.

Something was missing in terms of atmosphere.

Great views from the room and balcony, with spotless cleaning service and comfortable beds. the pool area was large, with plenty of sunbeds, umbrellas and free striped towels. the hotel was close to the beach and had beautiful scenery. the staff were helpful and courteous.

Some of the facilities were in need of repair, such as the lifts, and some of the furniture was falling apart. the food temperatures were always either lukewarm or cold, with little labelling of ingredients.

Comfy rooms, great bed, good soundproofing. Enjoyable shower and clean carpets. Breakfast was decent. Loved the sauna and Turkish bath. Upgraded to a spacious ocean-view suite at a good price.
