I had a fantastic time staying at this luxury backpacker's hostel. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, providing excellent recommendations for live music and restaurants. The location was great, situated in a safe neighborhood close to local markets and the city center. The rooms were nicely designed, with comfy beds and a clean, quiet ambiance. The breakfasts were delicious and there were numerous common areas to relax in. it was a wonderful experience.

A slight issue with the card machine at check-in, where the staff made some rude and unprofessional comments about payment.

The crew is so entertaining and helpful, like your personal travel agents. The breakfast is simple , with fresh fruit and all. And don't get me started on the lounge areas, library, and games room - I almost forgot I was in a backpackers'!

I had an amazing stay at this backpackers in Cape Town. the staff at Big - Luxury Backpackers were absolutely fantastic, they made me feel so welcome and were always there to assist with any activities or tours I wanted to do. the hostel itself was clean and comfortable, with a nice balcony and seating area in the room. the location was convenient, just a short Uber ride or walk to the V&A Waterfront and the city center. my experience was great and I highly recommend staying here.

Not easy to find

The communal areas at the hostel were exceptional. the spacious kitchen and large communal table made it easy to socialize and meet new people. the library and TV room were also great places to relax and unwind. the staff at the hostel went above and beyond to make our stay special. They organized off the beaten track tours and even cooked a fantastic braai for all guests.

I stayed at The Big for a couple of nights and it was a fantastic experience. The staff was extremely friendly and gave great recommendations. The guests were diverse in age and background, making for a vibrant atmosphere. The rooms were stylish and cozy, and we even received a complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival. a perfect stay!
