The staff went above and beyond to help us when my mother got sick, organizing a taxi and finding us a room. The albergue was the cleanest and fanciest we stayed at on the Camino. Good views, powerful shower, and quiet room. The dorms were limited to 4 bunk beds, and the manager made our dorm room female only. The wait staff were gracious and efficient, and the pilgrim meal was memorable. The laundry facilities were the best.

We had a great stay at Albergue La Casa Del Peregrino. The staff went above and beyond to assist us when my mother fell ill with kidney stones. They organized a taxi, found us a room in Ponferrada, and even made her a comforting cup of tea. The facility itself was clean, modern, and the nicest albergue we stayed at during our Camino. I highly recommend this hotel.

New hostel with clean, modern rooms and comfortable beds. Stunning views of the valley from the location at the end of town. Extra amenities include a swimming pool and hamman, although we didn't use them. The evening menu offered delicious options.

This hotel offers great value for money, with clean and new facilities. The staff are friendly and the service is top-notch. The location right on the Camino provides stunning views of the mountains, making it a perfect spot for a peaceful getaway. The rooms are comfortable and the linen is beautiful. The breakfast options are also delicious, providing the much-needed protein for a long day of walking. Additionally, the attention to detail and basic amenities make this hotel a great choice for pilgrims on the Camino.

No real negatives, everything was perfect.

We had a fantastic city break with stunning views of the surrounding mountains at our hotel. The location was perfect as we could explore the area easily and head straight out onto the walking trails. The hotel was also well equipped with a nice pool and spa that made for a perfect retreat at the end of the day. We particularly enjoyed the complementary coffee pods in our room and the reasonably priced menu del dia for a delicious meal.

The staff at the hotel seemed to be very busy during our stay. We often had to wait a long time for service at the bar or during dinner service as the staff seemed to be run off their feet.

The highlight was definitely the swimming pool on top of the rooms, complete with grassy area and parasols. The extensive grounds and play area for children added to the value. We also appreciated the toiletries provided, including much needed hair conditioner. Special mention goes to the staff and fellow guests who went above and beyond to help when my mother fell ill with kidney stones. They organized a taxi, found us a room in a nearby town, and even accompanied us to the hospital. This was by far the nicest, cleanest, and fanciest albergue we stayed at during our entire Camino journey.
