We felt right at home in this beautiful old building located a stones throw away from the Royal Palace and Gran Via shopping street. the large, well-appointed rooms were a nice touch, especially the comfortable beds and chairs. the staff, from the reception to the concierge, were extremely attentive and went out of their way to facilitate our every wish. the breakfast area had a great selection and the rooftop terrace with a small bar area was a must-visit. the hotel truly exemplifies the high standards of the Leading Hotels Of the World.

gran melia exceeded my expectations, the staff made me feel at home and the red level benefits were excellent. the location was perfect, within walking distance to major attractions. i will definitely choose this hotel again!

I stayed in a Penthouse Suite and had my own butler. It was like living in a fantasy world! The food was delicious and the hotel itself was stunning. Absolute perfection!

The room was absolutely stunning, with a glass bath/shower area and stocked with lovely Clarins goodies. the bed was super comfy, and I had a fantastic night's sleep. the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, especially Rodrigo at concierge who was so helpful. the hotel itself was absolutely stunning, with a spectacular rooftop pool and beautiful private garden. the breakfast buffet was world-class, with a wide variety of options to choose from. the location was perfect for walking to many nearby places.

The location of the hotel was great, as it was close to all the main attractions and had easy access to transportation. the staff was friendly and helpful, making my stay more enjoyable. And the rooftop pool provided a refreshing oasis on hot days, with a stunning view of the city.

One disappointment was that the swimming pool and roof terrace were closed during my stay, which was a shame given the beautiful weather. It would have been great to be able to take advantage of these facilities.

The room I stayed in was advertised as a family room for four adults and a few children, but it turned out to be tiny and visually much smaller than expected. the furniture in the room looked worn out, and there were practical issues with the bathroom door and appliances.
