The location of the hotel was perfect for our needs, as it was extremely close to the convention center where we were attending a 2-day dance competition. Additionally, it was easy to walk to the main shopping street and the center of town. Despite being centrally located, the area was surprisingly quiet, allowing us to get a good night's sleep. The room was clean and comfortable, with all necessary amenities provided.

The lack of natural light in the room, as the tiny frosted window didn't provide much brightness.

This hotel is in a great location, right in the center of town close to pubs and restaurants. The rooms are modern, bright, and clean with comfortable beds. The bathrooms are nice with good showers. The breakfast served in the morning is of good quality and the hosts are very welcoming, making you feel at home instantly. The service provided by the staff is exceptional.

The hallway and residents lounge could use some updating as they appear a bit dull and old fashioned.

my recent stay in southport was made even better by the welcoming and friendly staff at le maitre. the room was clean, comfortable, and had nice added touches like a complimentary water bottle. gary and shirley were knowledgeable about the area and provided helpful recommendations for things to do and places to eat. their attention to detail and personal touch really stood out.
