As trekkers and a group of friends, we loved the convenient location and the dog-friendly atmosphere. The comfortable beds and hot showers were perfect after a long day of exploring. The free parking permit was incredibly helpful for our adventures in the Lake District. Alison, the owner, was a friendly and knowledgeable host, giving us great advice on walks and places to visit. The breakfast options, including a delicious vegetarian English breakfast, kept us fueled for our outdoor activities. a great place with a traditional vibe.

The location was convenient, with just a short walk to the town center and the lake. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a parking permit, allowing me to park for free in various car parks. The breakfast options were excellent, especially for a vegan like me. The owner went above and beyond by providing me with the ingredients of the vegan sausages. It was a great opportunity to meet and chat with other guests during breakfast. I also appreciated the secure shed where I could safely store my bike. The single room was cozy and comfortable, and despite the shared shower room, I found it to be a great value for the price. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay at this guest house. The location was incredibly convenient, just a short walk to the town center and the lake. We were even given a parking permit which allowed us to park for free in many car parks in the north part of town. The breakfast options were great, especially for a vegan like myself. The owner took the time to provide me with the ingredients of the vegan and vegetarian sausages so I could make an informed choice. The breakfast also provided a wonderful opportunity to meet other guests and get recommendations for places to visit. Special mention to the friendly German Shepherd guarding the secure bike shed.

had a fantastic stay at a guest house in Ambleside. Exceeded expectations with great value, festive touches for Christmas day breakfast, and a nice private bathroom. Breakfast was excellent with tasty sausages. Convenient location on a bus route and walking distance to the center. Warmly greeted and given a helpful car park permit. Comfortable room with comfy beds.
