The location of the hotel is great, with a pub up the road where you can grab a drink and relax. The staff at the restaurant were attentive and took good care of us during dinner. The hotel is situated in a very quiet area with a large garden, providing a peaceful atmosphere. We were pleasantly awakened by the melodious birdsong coming from the garden.

The room we stayed in had a malfunctioning bathroom extractor fan, which made bathing quite unpleasant.

The hotel is conveniently located just outside the centre of York with easy access to all the attractions. The park and ride is only a few hundred yards away, making it a convenient option for exploring the area. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with all the little 'extras' standard in Mercures. The breakfast is good and the staff are efficient and friendly.

It only took us about 30 minutes on the bus to reach the central area around the Minster. The hotel itself was in a quiet area of the building, ensuring a peaceful stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming, from the receptionist who checked us in to the waiting staff in the restaurant. The room was spacious and cozy, with a large, comfortable bed. We also appreciated the amenities provided, including ironing facilities, tea and coffee facilities, and a flat-screen TV. The restaurant served delicious food, although it was a bit pricey. we were very satisfied with our experience here and would consider staying at a Mercure hotel again in the future.
