Lovely hotel with brilliant staff- and dog friendly too

We stayed here while completing a couple of legs of the St Cuthberts Way. The hotel is popular with walkers but has plenty to offer for non-hikers as well. The hotel is comfortable, clean, and situated in beautiful countryside. The staff are lovely and the surrounding area is great to explore.

I got excellent value for the money I spent at Templehall. The room was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated, giving it an elegant touch. The location was superb, with plenty of lovely walks nearby, making it perfect for those who enjoy the countryside. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring that my stay went smoothly. Special thanks to Kerry, who went the extra mile to make our experience enjoyable. The breakfast had a high standard of produce and was served in a residents only area, which was a great idea.

We enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the pub and the opportunity to chat with some other guests.

Our New Year's stay was not as enjoyable as we hoped. the heating system was not working properly, and the room was cold throughout the night.

I recently had a wonderful stay at a hotel in a cozy village. The location was perfect, right opposite a lively pub where I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. My room had a stunning view, spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed and an amazing bathroom. The staff were outstanding, going above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious, with a good selection of tasty options. it was a fantastic experience.

The WiFi could have been stronger, which was a minor inconvenience.

We had a lovely stay at a cottage in a beautiful location. the cottage was recently refurbished and very clean. the evening meal at the bar restaurant was excellent, especially the recommended lemon sole. the staff went out of their way to cater to our needs, even providing milk, cereals, and orange juice in the cottage for our early departure. the breakfast for the rest of our party was also good, with early catering available. A great recommendation!

absolutely loved our quick stop in Morebattle! templehall exceeded our expectations with their warm staff, dog-friendly amenities, and delicious food. everything was sparkling clean and the bedroom was super comfy. can't wait to go back!

The value for money at Templehall was excellent, and the room I stayed in was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect, with picturesque views and a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome.

The breakfast menu could have had more variety.

Spacious, newly refurbished room with a king-size bed and amazing rainforest shower. The hotel's location in a quiet village allowed us to meet friendly locals at the bar. Delicious food in the hotel's restaurant. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Charming, period property with stylish and comfortable rooms. Dogs allowed in both bedrooms and public areas. Good food at sensible prices. Perfect location for St. Cuthbert's Way walk. Beautiful garden with nice views.

As foreign tourists, we were impressed by the warm welcome and helpfulness of the hotel staff. The location in a charming village surrounded by beautiful countryside was ideal for exploring the Scottish Borders. The food, both at breakfast and dinner, was delicious and exceeded our expectations.
