The location and amenities make it a great choice for couples looking to explore the area.

I stayed at the Royal & Fortescue Hotel for three nights due to being unwell on arrival and unable to drive back to Yorkshire until Thursday. The atmosphere of the hotel was great and it was in excellent condition. The staff were extremely helpful in extending my stay and providing room service when needed. The cleaning staff respected my privacy and the room was very comfortable. The food was delicious and all the meals, including breakfast, were excellent.

I especially loved the fantastically comfortable bed, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The breakfast was delicious, with quality ingredients and a variety of options included, like boiled and poached eggs served as late as 9 pm.
