We had a great experience staying right in the centre of the lovely town of Bakewell. The hotel's impressive old building and friendly staff made our stay pleasant. Our room was spacious and quiet, with lovely views. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. Free parking was also a bonus.

This place is excellent for visiting Chatsworth, walking around or for the more adventurous the Monsal Trail starts just half a mile from the centre of town. It's right in the midst of everything so perfect for wanting to be in the centre. The staff here are cheerful, polite and attentive without being too familiar.

I realize it would be away from here over a main road. The room was very cold with no warm extra bedding.

I recently had a fantastic short break in the heart of the Peak District. The hotel was perfectly situated right in the center of the charming town. The room was spotlessly clean and had a spacious ensuite bathroom, complete with a bath! The staff were friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. The breakfasts were a highlight, with a wide selection of delicious options to choose from. a great hotel in a perfect location for exploring the beautiful surrounding area.

The shower water pressure could have been better, but it was still manageable.

The hotel facilities were excellent, with a beautifully decorated room that was small but cosy, and a comfortable bed. The cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch, and the staff were friendly and obliging. The continental breakfast selection was superb, and there was a good choice of dishes for both bar meals and dinner in the restaurant. The free parking across the road was a bonus, making it convenient to explore this charming town on foot.

The restaurant was also nicely furnished and the food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions that really gave us value for our money. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive, making us feel very well taken care of during our stay. we had a great experience here and would highly recommend it.

I recently stayed at The Rutland Arms Hotel in the heart of Bakewell for a weekend getaway to celebrate our 30th anniversary. The location was excellent, right in the middle of town and close to shops, pubs, and cafes. Our suite was beautifully decorated, clean, and modern, with a spacious and lovely bathroom. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we had unlimited high-quality tea and coffee in our room. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and the food was delicious. The wait staff were friendly and efficient, especially Freddie behind the bar who went above and beyond to take care of us. The breakfasts were also outstanding, as were the reception staff.

I strongly recommend this hotel.

Finding a spot nearby was a challenge, and we had to park some distance away, which was inconvenient. We had to get up early to move our car, which was a hassle.

The winter deal we got was great value for money, and the staff were amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. the location was perfect, with easy parking and close proximity to local attractions. the highlight for us was the delicious food at the restaurant, both for breakfast and dinner. It was truly a treat for our taste buds.

Great location in the heart of the Peak District, close to Chatsworth House and the 218 bus stop. Lovely, clean rooms with comfortable beds. Very helpful and friendly staff. Also has a connection with Jane Austen.

The location of this place is excellent for exploring the beautiful Peak District. It's a great base for visiting Chatsworth, walking around the charming town or even starting the Monsal Trail. The room we had was fantastic, with lovely decor and comfortable chairs. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that it was dog-friendly, and we could even enjoy breakfast together in a designated area. The service here was amazing; the staff were obliging, friendly, and always helpful. We also appreciated the various amenities provided in the room such as ironing facilities, a flat-screen TV, and a well-stocked tea and coffee tray. Plus, there was a delightful terrace with garden furniture where we could relax and enjoy the view.

We highly recommend this hotel to everyone.
