Conveniently located next to the Performing Arts Center – a major win. Clean, seasonal decor creates a welcoming atmosphere. Friendly and accommodating staff elevate the experience. The breakfast buffet is a highlight, filling and satisfying after a long day of shopping or attending concerts. parking becomes an issue during events. Guests deserve accessible parking, especially after paying premium rates. The cleaning crew needs improvement; a half-made bed indicates a lack of attention to detail. The room I stayed in had notable issues. Noise from the room above added to the frustration. Transform the old pullout mattress; it’s in dire need of an upgrade.

It made me question the cleanliness of the room, which was disappointing considering we expected better maintenance for the price we paid.

Incredible convenience for our concert, with fantastic food from the hotel and buffet. The patio was a lovely spot to unwind, though the chlorine smell from the pool was overwhelming and made it hard to enjoy. Most staff were friendly and welcoming, but there were moments at the front desk where the service felt a little forced. Breakfast was lively but chaotic, thanks to families with small kids. The price was on the higher side for a one-night stay, but we’d return, especially since the pros definitely outweighed the cons.

Perfect spot for exploring Shipshewana and nearby attractions

This hotel is just a short walk from some of Shipshewana's best attractions, like the Hostetler's Hudson Auto Museum, which is less than a 5-minute walk away, and the Michiana Event Center, just about 900 meters down the road; it makes it so easy to stroll around and enjoy the local culture while being close to great dining options and the Performing Arts Center for shows. The rooms were clean and spacious, and I loved the amazing breakfast each morning that saved us time. One thing to note is that the beds could use some improvement for comfort, but overall, our stay was an absolute pleasure.

I had a lovely time at Blue Gate Garden Inn. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, especially the egg casserole. The friendly staff made check-in smooth, and I enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit in the patio area. A great spot for a peaceful getaway!

Wonderful breakfast every morning! Room was super clean and had great amenities like air conditioning and a flat-screen TV. Loved the hot tub and the outdoor fire pit for chill time. The game room with air hockey was a fun bonus. Staff were really friendly and helpful too.

The breakfast buffet was huge with fresh omelets and a variety of waffles.

The breakfast was one of the best I've had – hello omelette station! The clean and spacious room made for a perfect cozy retreat. Loved how close everything was, especially the concert venue right across the parking lot!
