I simply adored the cozy and charming ambiance of the hotel’s common areas. The decor was lovely and reminded me of my grandkids' arts and crafts. The accessibility for senior people was fantastic, with handrails in the bathrooms and well-lit hallways. It made moving around the hotel a breeze for us seniors.

I would wish for more comfortable seating in the outdoor areas for senior guests.

The location of the hostel in a lush green neighborhood with easy access to local restaurants and attractions like the free Zoo made our trip to Chicago truly special. However, the lack of variety in breakfast and some discrepancies in room descriptions could be improved for a more seamless experience.

The views from my room at Chicago Getaway Hostel were simply breathtaking. I enjoyed waking up to the mesmerizing sights of the city skyline and the bustling energy of Lincoln Park. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, offering great recommendations for exploring the city. Plus, the complimentary daily coffee bar added a delightful touch to my mornings.

The co-ed room arrangement was surprising and slightly inconvenient, as it led to unexpected encounters with other guests.

I keep returning for my city breaks. The staff kindly arranged a late check-out once. The hostel has everything I need: Free Wi-Fi, Shared kitchen, Air conditioning, Board games. It suits me perfectly.

The location of the place was awesome, I could go everywhere without walking forever. The staff were cool too, always smiling and willing to help out whenever I needed anything. Digged the chill vibes in the common area, and the bathrooms, man, they were huge with tons of showers all over. Enjoyed the sunny terrace, the perfect spot for a BBQ, but wish there were a few more seats in the common room with the door. a solid spot for a hostel. ?

I recently stayed at Getaway Hostel for one night during my trip to explore the city. The location was perfect, close to the train station and in a beautiful neighborhood. Despite being a hostel, the room was clean and surprisingly spacious. The staff were amazing and the continental breakfast was decent. It was a great place to meet new people and the added events were a bonus. I will definitely be staying here again when I'm in town.
