The large soft towels and good water pressure in the rain shower were a nice touch. The location of the hotel was convenient, with plenty of dining and shopping options just a few blocks away on Michigan Ave. there were some areas that definitely need improvement. The room was lacking in basic amenities like enough towels for the number of guests and better quality coffee in the room. The lack of USB ports next to the bed and limited electric sockets were a bit inconvenient. The absence of a garbage bin in the bedroom was also a minor annoyance. One major downside was the staff's behavior at check-in and during my stay. They were not very helpful or attentive, and there was an incident where the police were called on us for no reason, which was a distressing experience. The issues with false charges, like being billed for a Red Bull we didn't consume, also left a negative impression. In terms of the room itself, the view was disappointing, and the bathroom TV didn't work as advertised.

The suite was stunning with a huge bathroom. The rooftop patio was a cool surprise despite being a bit messy. Staff were friendly. A bit outdated and thin walls, but a gem with potential. Can't wait to return for the space and luxury!

The Ivy Boutique Hotel's central location is ideal, just a 9-minute walk from Tribune Tower, offering stunning city and lake views from many rooms. The spacious rooms boast stylish living areas and coveted amenities, providing a comfortable and elegant stay. Their use of tile or marble floors and hardwood or parquet flooring adds a touch of luxury, and the use of the elevator as a security measure is a thoughtful detail not found in other area hotels.

Our experience with the deluxe charcuterie board fell short, with a lack of variety and the excuse of running out of the usual bread being questionable. It was a minor setback in an otherwise delightful stay.
