Check-in was super quick. The room was a bit small, but fine for us. Big flat-screen TV and a fridge were awesome! Location is great, just a short walk from Penn Station. Comfy bed and friendly staff. Warm cookies on arrival were a nice touch. We felt safe walking around at night, so all good!

Plenty of space for the kids to run around. The breakfast buffet is solid, got lots of choices even for picky eaters.

Prices are a bit steep, but it worked out okay.

This hotel is perfectly situated in Midtown, making it an easy walk to Times Square and Madison Square Garden—both just a few minutes away! I was impressed by how close I was to iconic landmarks like the New York Public Library and Bryant Park, just over a kilometer away, and of course Central Park is only about a 15-minute stroll! The staff were exceptionally friendly, the rooms were clean and had comfy beds, and the rooftop terrace offered stunning city views.

The staff was incredibly friendly, even surprising me with a welcome cookie! The room was spotless and comfortable, perfect for my daughter and me. The location was a dream, just a hop away from great coffee shops and the train station!

Convenient location, close to everything. Dining options abound, and staff are well-mannered and responsive. Daily maid service is commendable; cleanliness is top-notch. the breakfast spread is average. Rooms are compact; this is Manhattan, after all. Our room on the 27th floor offered a stunning Empire State view and a lovely birthday surprise of strawberries and Prosecco. The rooftop bar showcases beautiful skyline views. Elevator wait times were minimal, a pleasant surprise. noise from 8th Avenue was disruptive, and room size posed challenges for families. Despite these drawbacks, the overall experience was positive. The hotel feels secure, especially with card verification post-10 PM. Would consider staying here again.

The vibe around the hotel was unsettling, with many homeless people nearby. We even saw a fight right outside. It made me uncomfortable, not the kind of experience you'd hope for when you're just trying to relax on vacation.

Plenty of dining options nearby, from restaurants to food carts, ensure you won't go hungry during your stay. Additionally, the room was spotless and conveniently situated.

The room size was a downer, possibly the smallest I've experienced. The tea/coffee machine was a letdown, as it only filled cups halfway and had a lengthy wait time between uses.

The staff were very nice and helpful, especially the manager Jessica, who made sure we had the room we booked and were comfortable. The location was fantastic, right next to Penn Station, making it super convenient for exploring the city.

Some staff members were unhelpful, with one bellman ignoring us upon arrival. The room we booked was tiny, with a bathroom door that didn't offer much privacy.

DoubleTree by Hilton New York Times Square South boasts an unbeatable location, making it easy to explore the city. The rooms are impeccably clean, and the staff is attentive. visitors should be prepared for compact spaces and potential housekeeping miscommunications.

The view of the Empire State was breathtaking. DEFINITELY coming back! The rooms were even better than in photos.

The staff, especially Tanika and Patrick, truly made a tough trip better. I broke my wrist, and their kindness was heartwarming. The room was clean, with a lovely view of the Empire State Building. The rooftop terrace was a highlight with great views and live music. homelessness and visible drug use nearby were unsettling. Check-in had its hiccups, with delays and room issues, but the helpful front desk team eventually resolved it. No resort fees are a bonus, but more attention to cleanliness and security would be ideal. I'd return, but with mixed feelings.
