Best aspects of our stay during Christmas were the delicious breakfast and the friendly staff. The breakfast had a wide variety of options to choose from, making it satisfying for everyone. Additionally, the staff was welcoming and helpful, making us feel at home. The hotel's location was convenient, as it was close to key attractions and shopping centers. This made it easy for us to explore the city and enjoy our Christmas shopping. Furthermore, we really enjoyed the cozy and comfortable rooms, providing a pleasant stay for us and our family.

The shower curtain failed to prevent water from spilling onto the bathroom floor, resulting in constant mopping after each shower. The shower seat was unstable and seemed like it would fall off soon.

The breakfast at Country Inn was surprisingly diverse with breakfast burritos, waffles, fresh fruit, and potatoes. As someone who isn't a breakfast eater, I was pleasantly surprised by the options. The front desk staff was exceptional and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, even providing us with extra drink tickets. The hotel's location was convenient, with easy access to the college and freeway. The beds in the quiet rooms were very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The lovely patio area with a propane firepit was a great place to relax. Despite being close to the highway, there was no noise from the road. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hallway paint and carpet could use some cleaning and freshening, but it didn't affect our stay. The heating system in the room was a bit funky, making it difficult to find the right temperature.

She was professional, caring, and ensured we had a room for the second night during a busy graduation weekend. The hotel is conveniently located near Iowa State University, making it perfect for attending events like graduations. The room itself was beautiful and a great deal. the staff's genuine concern for the guests and their outstanding service made our stay truly memorable.

The hotel offers great value for money, considering its excellent service and staff. They pay attention to every detail to make sure their guests feel comfortable. The location of this hotel is also perfect if you want to be close to everything in the Ames area, including all the restaurants in the area. The rooms are very comfortable, with some even having a whirlpool and sofa bed, while others receive extra attention. And, last but not least, the breakfast is amazing and even offers wine.

The breakfast is tasty and well-kept, featuring plenty of options. The staff is friendly and helpful, adding to the enjoyable and hassle-free experience at this hotel. The outdoor patio with firepit is a definite bonus, and a perfect place to unwind with friends after a night out.

It's worth noting that some parts of the property may be due for updates, with some creaky floors and noisy air conditioning units reported by a few guests. Nonetheless, these minor hiccups do not detract from the overall positive experience of staying at this wonderful hotel.
