Room had a strong weed smell throughout stay.

the golden nugget has a variety of restaurants that were fantastic. we loved the lazy river and beach-style pool—perfect for the kids. The spa experience was unforgettable. the massages were just the right pressure and super relaxing!

You won't believe the magic of the make-your-own pancake machine! Breakfast transformed into an epic food adventure, complemented by delightful dinners at Lillies and Vic and Anthony's. And let's not forget the pool area—perfectly relaxing and hardly crowded.

i almost gave this place a good review, but the coffee was bland, defintely not worth my time. and then there were mosquitoes in our room, how quaint! with all the money i spent, i expected a little more pampering, perhaps an upgrade or a complimentary snack? it was like they forgot who was staying here.

The casino layout is user-friendly, with convenient access to dining and shopping. A picturesque boardwalk view. The pool area was pleasant and uncrowded, perfect for relaxation.

Customer service felt inconsistent, with reports of long check-in wait times and a lack of housekeeping responsiveness. Some guests experienced maintenance issues in their rooms, which was disappointing.

awful stay. the room faucet was leaking, seriously, i nearly burned myself, while my partner froze in the shower! also, the bathroom wasn't cleaned properly. oh, and can we talk about the lack of complimentary snacks? it’s like they don’t care we’re individuals here. almost gave a good review, but just couldn’t. disgusted.

However, the check-in process felt like it took ages, especially with kiosks out of service. I also noticed some cleanliness issues throughout, from the elevators having a bit of a scent to the pool area not being as well-kept as expected. There were ongoing complaints about unclean sheets, which is not something anyone should have to deal with during a stay. Not to mention, the dining prices were pretty steep for what you get, which left a sour taste in my mouth.

The pool area was a blast for the kids, with fun activities and plenty of space to play. We also enjoyed some delicious food options nearby, particularly a memorable meal at one of the on-site restaurants. We felt welcomed from the start, thanks to the friendly staff who checked on us often at the pool.

In my wife’s opinion, the kids wished for more kid-friendly menu options.

This place has a cool vibe and lots to offer. The rooms were super clean and modern. We loved the cozy bar/lounge area—it was a perfect spot to chill. Only downside was a bit of noise from the casino at night, but it didn’t ruin anything. Definitely felt welcome here!

Pool area was a total winner—lazy river was such a jol! The Blue Bell ice cream at the shop was a lekker treat, and the staff were super helpful. Got a room with a stunning lake view, mate!

Just wish the check-in was a bit quicker, but otherwise, really enjoyed it!

I enjoyed a birthday weekend with fantastic food at Claim Jumper! The Chicken Pot Pie was the best! However, it was too noisy at night due to a barking dog next door. I'd return!

It was a good match for taking strolls in Lake Charles with good value for cost. The manager from security was really professional and helpful when there were issues with my friend's entry, which made us feel more at ease. Be careful with the cashiers – they can make things unnecessarily complicated.
