The hostel was awesome! Loved the handy kitchen facilities and individual bedside chargers/lights. Grabbing a snack from the 24/7 McDonald's nearby after a night out was a bonus. The staff was generally helpful. 🌟 I didn't like that they added an additional charge at check-in; But overall, still a great place to stay! 🌆

The Hi offers outstanding safety, free wifi, and nightly events. Clean, comfortable beds, spacious rooms with personal curtains for privacy, a convenient location next to the subway, and well-organized free tours make for a fantastic stay.

Slight unpleasant odor in some dorms. No other complaints.

Nearby landmarks like the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine and Columbia University added cultural value to our trip, strengthening family bonds through exploration. The hostel could improve by adding privacy curtains to the beds and addressing occasional low water pressure in the showers.

During my stay at Hi New York City Hostel, I was impressed by the prime Upper West Side location, which allowed for easy access to renowned locations like Harlem and top Manhattan attractions. The diverse accommodation options catered to my needs, and the private room I stayed in was well-equipped with modern amenities, offering a comfortable and pleasant stay.

One minor setback was the lack of air conditioning in the room, leading to a stuffy environment. Unfortunately, this affected the quality of my sleep during my stay.

The hostel felt secure and had excellent bathrooms. It had a comfortable and hotel-like atmosphere. The staff spoke Spanish, making it convenient for Spanish-speaking travelers. There were nearby dining options and a subway station. The locker space was sufficient, and the WiFi was fast. The shower rooms and restrooms were outside of the rooms, providing privacy. The lobby had good tables for working. The hostel had a great energy and offered walking tours. It was a perfect spot for solo travelers to meet nice people. The location was close to a subway and in a nice and safe area. The rooms and common areas were clean and well-maintained.

We explored Central Park and danced our hearts out at a cool underground concert nearby. We met rad people from around the world and went on epic walking tours and sporting events. The social vibe was off the charts - so much fun!

It would be even better if they organized more late-night events for party-going folks like us.

I loved the comfy beds and the clean bathrooms of this hostel. The location is amazing, I was able to walk to many iconic NYC spots. The cafeteria was a nice option too, and I enjoyed meeting other travelers in the lounge areas. I had a great stay!
