Comfortable stay with prime location

Hyatt Place Charleston offers spacious and clean rooms with comfortable beds, perfect for a restful night. The walk-in shower was a nice touch. Conveniently located near historic downtown, guests can easily explore the area. The friendly staff adds to the welcoming atmosphere.

The air conditioning in our room was a nightmare! It kept breaking down, making it impossible to relax after a long day. The staff didn’t seem to care at all, and I ended up feeling stressed and exhausted the whole trip.

Fantastic central spot for exploring Charleston's attractions!

Staying here was a delight as I could easily stroll to numerous nearby restaurants, bars, and iconic landmarks like the Charleston Museum and Waterfront Park, all within 15 to 20 minutes on foot; the rooms were clean and comfortable, with breakfast offering a variety of delicious options to start the day right, but the pool area could use some improvement as it wasn’t as heated as advertised.

The rooftop bar was a total vibe! I loved the easy access to the nightlife on King Street, plus the staff were super friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was absolutely delightful, with so many yummy options to start the day right.

The room was a lovely size, very clean, with a comfortable bed that allowed for restful nights. Temperature control worked well, maintaining a pleasant atmosphere. The noise level was minimal, which was a relief. Unfortunately, the view was disappointing, focusing on a parking lot rather than charming scenery. The refrigerator and phone had issues on arrival, though the staff was prompt in addressing the fridge. Pillows were lacking in comfort, and basic amenities like lotion were missing. the room met essential comfort needs, but minor improvements could elevate the experience significantly.

Breakfast was abundant and of high quality. Staff had a strong professional demeanor, and valet services were efficient. not everything was seamless. Our room wasn't cleaned by the time we returned at 3:30 p.m., and we encountered issues with hot water later. The parking fees are excessive, and the bar lacked a quiet ambiance. an unfortunate billing error upon check-in caused unnecessary stress. While most staff were excellent, one never acknowledged the mistake. There's potential to improve the experience, but it’s still a solid choice.

The room we stayed in was spacious and clean, which we appreciated. The staff was friendly and the concierge was quite knowledgeable, helping us with recommendations and directions. One thing we really liked was that bottled water was always available, which was a nice touch. The location of the hotel was convenient, with easy access to the free bus service. The daily breakfast was enjoyable, although we would have liked to see a change in the menu to include pancakes and French toast. we did encounter some issues during our stay. We found that pets were allowed everywhere in the hotel, which was a problem for us as I have allergies to animal dander. This made our experience less enjoyable and we hope that the hotel can provide dedicated pet-friendly rooms in the future. Another issue we faced was with the air conditioning in our room. It was broken and despite multiple attempts to have it fixed, it kept malfunctioning. This made the room uncomfortably warm, especially after a long day of sightseeing. The lack of response and concern from the staff regarding this issue was disappointing. while we appreciated the professionalism of the staff and the excellent location of the hotel, the pet-friendly policy and the air conditioning issues were significant drawbacks to our stay at Hyatt Place. We hope that these issues can be addressed to improve the overall experience.
