I stayed for one night and it was perfect for my needs. The staff was friendly and the location was great, with plenty of nearby restaurants and easy access to public transportation. The bed was comfortable and the air-conditioning was much appreciated after a hot day of exploring. The host, George, was attentive and made our stay more enjoyable. I loved the character and charm of the place, it felt like home. a great spot for independent travelers.

As a family with children, we loved the cozy and welcoming atmosphere at Illumination. The spacious room with comfortable beds and the well-stocked kitchen were perfect for our needs. The large and beautiful bathroom, complete with bathrobes and a safety bar, was a great convenience. The neighborhood was amazing, with plenty of great places to eat and shops to explore. The close proximity to Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Museum was a definite plus.

The host was attentive, the room was never cold in November, shared bathroom was always free, great for vegans. Plenty of amenities available, friendly staff, close to Manhattan, charming house. Fabulous location for exploring the neighborhood, near Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Museum.

Street parking can be a challenge in the crowded city location.

Spacious and historically charming accommodations. The room was exceptionally big and the beds were clean and comfortable. The high ceilings, glass doorknobs, and large windows added to the charm. Conveniently located near restaurants and coffee shops. The kitchen was well-stocked and had everything I needed. Plus, there was a balcony off the kitchen for chilling.

The pillows were a bit hard for my liking. However, I'm sure if I had asked, the owner would have accommodated me with softer ones.

Excellent communication, comfortable room with AC, good WiFi, and lovely, safe neighborhood. Owner ensured comfort and explained everything in detail. Shared space was not an issue. Spacious room with private sink, comfortable bed, and thoughtful amenities. Wonderful host, convenient location with good public transport, and enormous stay size for a mega city. Clean shared bathroom. Will definitely stay again when NYC is not affordable.
