My husband and I recently stayed at Howard Johnson in downtown Gatlinburg for a few nights. The hotel and property may be a bit dated, but the renovated rooms were excellent. We loved the balcony in our room, which overlooked the Skylift and Sky bridge, creating a beautiful nighttime view. The location was perfect for exploring the main strip, with just a short walk to all the attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the vinyl plank flooring in the room gave it a clean and modern feel. a great experience!

Great location, 2-minute walk to downtown. Saw a bear near hotel. 2 pools, 1 under construction. Fire pits looked nice. Amazing deal. Stayed M-F. No parking hassle. Mini fridge and microwave in room. Sheets were softest ever. Room nicely renovated. Love the carpet.

The location is perfect! It was clean and very nice. The lamps have places to charge your cell phone. We even had a fireplace in our room which was very cozy. Contrary to other reviews, there are hair dryers in the room. Everyone working there was very friendly and polite. The breakfast was really good. We enjoyed staying there and will be back. We have found our new place to stay in downtown.

I loved being close to the parkway, Anakeesta, the Aquarium, and the mall. the balcony with rocker chairs provided a peaceful spot to relax and enjoy the sound of the nearby creek. the staff was friendly and always ready to assist.
