The stay was plagued by significant issues. On multiple occasions, I encountered roaches in the kitchen, which was deeply unsettling. the staff merely described them as tree roaches without any further resolution. Additionally, we were frustrated by the upfront payment requirement before check-in, which is not ideal for travelers who prefer to settle accounts upon arrival. To make matters worse, there were deteriorating facilities such as a broken lock on the pier, emphasizing a lack of attention to maintenance.

the staff seemed to go through the motions, absolutely no interaction unless I asked, how lovely! on top of that, I had to clear a clogged shower myself, totally not what I expected from a resort. I almost thought of giving a good review, until I realized no welcome gift, just sheer disappointment truly.

We spent 3 nights at D&R Pelican Bay Resort and were impressed by the beautiful grounds and charming rooms. The location is ideal, just a quick drive from all the local sights and activities. We enjoyed exploring the resort's amenities, which included a lovely swimming pool and comfy lounging areas. The highlight was the cozy king room with a pool view, perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure.

The only downside was that we encountered some minor issues during our stay.

The cleaning of common areas, especially the hot tub, could be improved for guest comfort.

The pool area was a favorite, complete with a hot tub and a charming private pier that offered serene water views. The spacious room was clean with comfortable beds, making it ideal for groups. Yet, I wished for better communication from the staff and more cleanliness in communal areas during my stay.

The pool area and hot tub were total hits! The beds were incredibly comfy, and the lovely pier was perfect for enjoying lunch by the water. Plus, the kitchen was well-stocked for all those times I almost considered cooking.

But seriously, the hot tub cleanliness was questionable—someone should’ve called the cleaning fairy! Also, try not to have a 'who's-on-first' moment with the lockbox codes, it's a holiday, not a scavenger hunt!

Cozy cottages, friendly staff, and the convenience of free Wi-Fi made our stay enjoyable. we particularly loved the outdoor swimming pool for relaxation and the easy access to delicious restaurants nearby.

Didn’t dislike anything about the property.

Had a right laugh on the pier! It was where we spent most of our time, kids lovin’ it while we fished and kicked back. But mate, the hot tub could’ve been cleaner, just sayin’.

the rental was a cozy hideaway, great for fishing and walking. road noise interrupted sleep.

The cottages feel lekker and were super clean! Chilled in the hot tub after fishing at the pier—what a jol! The staff were really helpful, and we all loved cooking meals together in the kitchen. Perfect for a family getaway!

Only bummer was the noisy guests next door, but we managed to enjoy ourselves anyway.

Free Wi-Fi was great and the outdoor pool was awesome, but room was noisy from traffic.

Pool area was dirty. chairs needed wiping.

the pool area is super chill, great for hanging out. loved the hot tub and the picnic spots around the place. the staff were really friendly and helpful, making everything easier.

not one thing, a little cleaning would help! 😅
