The room was lovely and very comfortable with lots of character. The staff were friendly and professional, providing excellent service. The location was great, and we enjoyed the cozy bar area for the wine and cheese evening. The breakfast was amazing with plenty of options. Highly recommended for a memorable stay.

My husband and I stayed at this charming hotel on our way to SC. We were initially drawn in by the hotel cat, but what truly won us over was the rich history behind the property. The staff were absolutely amazing, and the hotel was impeccably clean. The evening treat of warm milk and cookies was a delightful touch. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone and can't wait to stay again!

We loved the authentic atmosphere of this historic old building, which had an industrial feel with exposed brick walls. The breakfast was very good, and we particularly enjoyed the wine and cheese in the early evening. The easy walking distance to various restaurants and activities was a great bonus for us.

the breakfast was fantastic, especially the delicious grits. the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. the spacious room, with its huge bathroom, was perfect for someone like me who was navigating with a walking boot. And I must mention the beautiful historic ambiance of the inn, with its captivating old pictures. the location was excellent, with easy access to Old Salem and some great restaurants. the housekeeping and bar staff were also very attentive and friendly. a beautifully restored property with a cozy atmosphere and great amenities.

The Inn's beautiful interior, convenient location, attached Visitor Center, lovely outside patio, wine and cheese reception, jazz band entertainment.

Great stay! Rooms were spacious and comfortable, like sleeping on clouds. Breakfast was hot and plentiful, with a good variety. Loved the frig and microwave in the room. the property had beautiful outside courtyards and seating areas. Free parking was available on-site. the location was convenient for walking to historical areas.

The soundproofing between rooms was poor, as conversations and noise from adjacent rooms were easily heard. There was no shuttle service to the nearby National Black Theater Festival plays.

Our stay at Brookstown Inn was a wonderful experience. Our elegant and comfortable room was perfect. Nearby restaurants with outside seating and easy takeout options were a plus. All our needs were met promptly, like when our room wasn't cooling. Highly recommend this beautiful hotel for its service, location, history, and attention to detail. More than pleased with our stay!

What a gem! I stumbled upon this hotel during my cross-country trip and it exceeded all expectations. The attention to detail was impeccable, from the beautifully decorated rooms with poster beds, Keurig coffee maker, and mini fridge, to the cozy seating area with a loveseat and two-person table. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing great recommendations for drinks and food in the area. The location was perfect, within walking distance to a plethora of amazing restaurants and downtown events. And let's not forget about breakfast - served in a gorgeously decorated dining room with white linen tablecloths and complete place settings, it was a pleasant surprise. The buffet-style spread had a great variety of options and truly started my day off right.

I was thrilled with the free upgrade to a unique room at The Historic Brookstown Inn. The bed felt like sleeping on soft fluffy clouds, the best I've ever experienced. The complimentary big breakfast, milk and cookies at bedtime, and the wine and cheese social were all fantastic. I couldn't have asked for a better one-of-a-kind experience. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nothing all good.

This hotel is a great value for money and attention to detail was impressive. The staff were very helpful and the basic amenities in the room were more than enough for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect - quiet but still within walking distance of great restaurants and shops. Breakfast included was a nice touch and the spread was sumptuous. I particularly loved the cookies and the bottle of water with queen bed.
