During my recent transit in Reno, I stayed at Whitney Peak Hotel. The convenient location in Downtown Reno, only 15 km from Reno-Tahoe International, made it easy to access and the nearby attractions, such as the Truckee River Walk Trail and the National Automobile Museum, provided some enjoyable downtime during my travels.

The parking situation was a minor inconvenience during my stay. Due to a downtown event, parking was blocked, and the staff seemed uncertain about alternative arrangements.

Our family had the most fun and interesting time exploring Downtown Reno during our stay at this non-gaming luxury hotel. We loved the onsite concerts and live shows, as well as the convenient shopping facilities. The hospitality industry was exemplified by the helpful staff, and we felt truly at home, surrounded by furry friends. We were impressed by the hotel's celebration of all things authentic, fresh, and outdoors, offering an experience that was both natural and inviting.

My wife says that the hotel could enhance the experience for families with children by offering more kids' entertainment options.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The rooms were modern, comfortable, and had nice robes. The location was tough to beat, especially for those who enjoy downtown casinos. The staff, particularly Gloria and the girls at the front desk, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They were always available and ready to help. The on-site restaurant, Heritage, was fantastic, especially the oysters. The hotel was extremely dog-friendly and there was a nice dog park nearby. The views from the upper floors were also very nice.

Hard to think of anything negative.

I keep coming back for the exceptional service. The staff kindly assisted my elderly parents. This place has all I need, like Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, fitness center, and no-smoking policy. It's perfect for a city break.

I had a great time at the hotel! Stayed for a week and loved the central location, spacious and well-equipped rooms, 24-hour gym, and excellent facilities. The friendly front staff even gave me and my dog a swag bag with treats. Amazing free upgrade to a fabulous suite. Will definitely book here again!

The hotel was in a great location, close to the river and the new restaurants. We loved being able to walk to all the nearby attractions. the staff was friendly and always willing to help. We also enjoyed the fact that the hotel was pet-friendly and they even provided treats for our furry friend. the room was clean and up to date, and we appreciated the option to choose our room direction upon arrival.

Our room was hot and never cooled down, despite notifying the front desk multiple times. It was quite uncomfortable for us and our dogs.

Specific situation: We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of our room. However, there were a few empty beer bottles and leftover food from the previous guest that housekeeping missed.

This hotel is perfectly located in the heart of downtown. It's just a stone's throw away from the main strip, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city. I particularly loved the nearby river and the beautiful art along its banks. The hotel itself is a luxurious oasis, offering top-notch service from the moment I arrived. The staff was attentive, kind, and seemed genuinely happy in their roles. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, with a chaise lounge chair by the window that provided the perfect spot for relaxation. I spent hours reading a book while my furry friends enjoyed the view.

This place has it all. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Our favorite Reno Hotel

We have made Whitney our go-to now when we visit Reno. We appreciate that it is a non-smoking facility and it also stays quiet since there is no casino downstairs. The room was huge and tastefully appointed, and it was very clean. Even though the heating was a bit noisy, I actually liked the white noise it created. The restaurant connected to the hotel is quite good and not expensive. I'll definitely recommend this hotel.

The room was spacious and comfortable, with a nice view. The fitness area was well-equipped and had a great view of the indoor climbing area. The hotel had a nice, contemporary decor and the club lounge was a great amenity. The staff were attentive and tried their best to make our stay enjoyable.

Our recent stay was great, thanks to the friendly and accommodating staff. The hotel's location was a huge plus, it's conveniently close to the iconic Reno Arch and the event we attended. The room was spotless, spacious, and well-decorated, with permanent containers in the lovely bathroom. Additionally, we enjoyed the delicious breakfast options. The dedicated filtered water bottle station on every floor and the valet service were pleasant advantages.

The hotel's lunch options were limited, as the restaurant only serves dinner.

The location was perfect, right in the middle of downtown and within walking distance of many good restaurants. Additionally, the hotel was right across the street from the train station, making transportation very convenient.
