The renovated room was clean and well-equipped with a microwave, sink, fridge, and even ceramic plates and cutlery. The amenities were impressive, including a coffee machine and a relaxing bath tub in one of the rooms. The staff, especially Francis, were friendly and accommodating, making our stay enjoyable.

My husband and I recently stayed at Hotel Royal William for five nights. We chose this hotel for its convenient location, which allowed us to easily explore the city on foot and enjoy the nearby bike path. The staff at Ascend Hotel were incredibly kind and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. On one occasion, we had dinner at the hotel restaurant and the waiters went out of their way to accommodate our language barrier. Additionally, the manager offered us breakfast when our room did not meet expectations. Furthermore, the morning receptionist was unbelievably helpful in assisting us with a medical emergency. The hotel may not be located in the downtown tourist area, but it provides easy access to a pharmacy, restaurants, and cafes.

Additionally, there was a grocery store just a short 7-minute walk away, making it convenient for us to grab any necessities. The hotel was well maintained and offered spacious rooms with an amazing comfortable bed. We also loved the neighborhood, as it was away from the tourist swarm in the Old Town. This made our stay even more enjoyable, especially during the busy summer weekend.

There was a musky smell and dim lighting in our room, which gave it a slightly unappealing atmosphere. the mattress was not as comfortable as we had hoped, as it lacked cushioning and felt springy.
