A family-friendly adventure awaits

We had an amazing family getaway! The kids loved the pool and waterslide, providing hours of entertainment. Plus, the hotel was conveniently located near food options and offered free shuttle service to the airport.

While the staff was generally friendly, we did encounter a few minor issues with room cleanliness that could be improved. Also, some areas of the hotel seemed a bit dated, but this didn't ruin our experience.

it’s almost as if cleanliness is a foreign concept here. disgusting, stale smell upon entry and elevators that could double as a garbage can were just the start. i truly expected a complimentary gesture given the inconvenience of the lackluster airport shuttle only going to the main terminal, but clearly, i woudlve been asking too much.

Staying here with my teen kids was fun, especially with the refreshing outdoor pool. We also visited the Canada Place Cruise Ship Terminal, which is a fantastic spot for unforgettable sights and activities. The staff sorted out our room issues efficiently, making our stay comfortable.

In my wife's opinion, the shuttle service needs improvement to accommodate families better.

Why it’s almost great (but not quite)

The kids loved the pool and waterslide—a perfect setup for family fun. Convenient airport shuttle service made our travel a breeze!

The room had maintenance issues. the air conditioning didn't work initially and took time to resolve. Awkward lobby congestion due to large groups really detracted from the experience.

sandman is a great choice before a flight. the location is super convenient, just down the road from the car rental. the service was exceptional, and we really enjoyed the indoor pool with its fun 225-foot waterslide. it's a fantastic setup for families!

We took the kids to the indoor pool with a waterslide, which they totally loved! The hotel's location was convenient for exploring nearby attractions like the Canada Place Cruise Ship Terminal, making our family trip exciting.

My kids wished the cleanliness were better. the air conditioning was faulty.

great spot for exploring richmond's attractions and parks

the rooms were very clean and big in size. The pool area was a hit with the kids, allowing us to unwind after long walks around the nearby richmond nature park, which is just a short stroll away while also being close to a fantastic dining option at Denny's, making our stay truly enjoyable.

Needs some work.

Checked in for a work conference and had a bit of a rough start. My room was already taken, which was awkward. Kitchen totally messed up dietary requests too, like serving me a salad with soy when I said I couldn't have it. Food options at the bar were decent, though, but for $380 a night, I'd expect a lot more. Ugh.

the outdoor pool area was lovely, surrounded by trees. so close to good food options like Denny's and Chop. the staff were super helpful, especially when we got lost in the maze of hallways. all in all, a solid option!
