the staff were so amazin, especially dipesh and laxmi who went out of their way to help me catch a bus during the festival. the breakfast buffet was super good, lots of tasty options, and the location is just perfect for explorin thamel. rooms might be a little small, but they were comfy and clean, with real nice water pressure after a long day. i felt like home here and would totally book again!

only thing that was kinda annoying was the lack of a pool, and the beds were too soft for my likin.

My stay at the Marriott Hotel Kathmandu was truly exceptional! The ambiance of refined elegance immediately drew me in, and the breakfast buffet was a feast for the senses with a wonderful variety of dishes. the staff clearly lacked training, seeming like total amatuers with no attention to detail. i had to endure a leaking bathroom, unfixed after multiple complaints. also, can someone explain why i wasn't offered a complimentary drink after the chaos? i almost wanted to appreciate their effort, but i just couldn't. shameful, truly.

The staff were so friendly I felt like family especially Sunita at the front desk who was always there to help us with maps and recommendations. The breakfast was off the charts with so many options I couldn't choose, Chef Roshan's dishes were a highlight for me every morning, made me feel like a king.

It wasn't exactly inexpensive but worth every penny for the experience we got.

the staff seemed utterly unprofessional, with no idea how to run a hotel, unlike the savior Mr Bikram. rooms oh so small, totally not worth the price, and where were my complimentary treats? Breakfast was very, very mediocre. I almost thought about giving a good review, but I just couldn’t. it’s just really disappointing, honestly.

I appreciated how central the location was, making it easy for me to explore while still enjoying a calm space. As an art historian, the local context in the decor added to my appreciation. I'd definitely return.
