There was nothing I didn't like.

I absolutely loved the view from my room at Number 38 Clifton. Being next to the window with a spectacular view down the hill was such a treat. I could see the beautiful park adjacent to the hotel and even The Downs opposite. The room itself was comfortable and impeccably clean, with lovely little touches. The service from the staff was exceptional, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The hotel also offered great facilities, such as complimentary toiletries and the option to have breakfast delivered to the room for a supplementary fee.

That the hotel is set within an old building, so there was some creaky noise from movement upstairs if you are in a room on the lower floors and beside the stairs.

Our stay at 38 Clifton was truly delightful. The spacious room had all the modern conveniences we needed, and the fresh and luxurious atmosphere made us feel right at home. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the staff were incredibly polite and friendly. We especially loved the fact that we were upgraded to a suite, giving us an amazing experience. Ordering breakfast to our room was a real treat, adding a touch of complete luxury to our stay. we couldn't recommend this place enough.

The only minor drawback we experienced was that the shower didn't seem to drain properly. However, this did not significantly affect our overall experience at 38 Clifton.

The hotel's location, right opposite the Downs, was fantastic. It was close to the lovely restaurants and shops on Whiteladies Road and within walking distance of the city center. The cleanliness of the room was excellent, and the facilities provided were of high quality. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast served was delicious.

Nothing to fault.

We had an amazing stay at this lovely boutique hotel in Clifton. The room was one of the top 5 we've ever stayed in - quiet, well-stocked, and very clean. The location was perfect, with the common, bridge, and village all within a pleasant walk. The staff were friendly, efficient, and went above and beyond to ensure our happiness.

The breakfast menu could be improved by including the full English in the base price instead of charging an extra £5.

I recently had a fantastic stay at a lovely hotel in a stunning location. The hotel had a beautiful period feel and a peaceful atmosphere, which made it feel like a home away from home. The staff were discreet but always there to help when needed. The location was perfect, overlooking Clifton Downs and with plenty of nearby restaurants to choose from. I stayed in the smallest room in the house, but it was extremely comfortable with breathtaking views across the Bristol rooftops. The highlight of my stay was definitely spending Christmas in this special place, enjoying mince pies and port in front of the cozy log fire in the lounge. I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the future.

I recently had the most perfect Easter weekend getaway with my boyfriend. Our hotel room was absolutely gorgeous, complete with a roll top bath and shower. The cleanliness was impeccable and the views from our room were stunning. The continental breakfast provided a huge variety of delicious food options, and the seating area was so comfortable and relaxing. We also loved having access to amenities like Netflix, a mini bar, and a hair dryer. we couldn't fault anything about our stay.

The limited reception hours, but the staff was so friendly and helpful that it wasn't a big issue. We also didn't see many other guests during our stay, as there weren't many shared spaces in the building.

They even catered to my special dietary needs at breakfast. The hotel also went above and beyond, allowing me to hold a catered Thanksgiving dinner in their conference room. I highly recommend this hotel for its wonderful atmosphere and friendly service.

number 38 clifton exceeded our expectations. the staff were incredibly friendly and nothing was too much trouble. the room was warm, clean, and had a beautiful bath. the location was ideal with a view of the downs and a short walk to shops and restaurants. we will definitely be back.

Delicious meals and comfortable rooms with amazing views make for a great stay in this neighborhood. Complimentary drinks and treats offered each evening were a bonus. Loved exploring the nearby attractions and shops which were in walking distance from the hotel.

Parking was a hassle, with limited options nearby. the reception area and staff were not available later in the evening, which posed a problem for our group.
