The location of the hotel was not ideal for me. As a pedestrian, going out after dark was strongly advised against due to high homelessness and feeling threatened.

It's located in a central area that allows easy access to a few restaurants and specific areas of the gym. Additionally, you can enjoy the view from the rooftop area, have a relaxing time in the jacuzzi, or watch a show at the adjacent integrated Gothic-revival theater. The rooms are well-designed and equipped with a record player, speaker, and auxiliary wires, all adding to the laidback elegance of the hotel.

Although the service team is accommodating, there is a lack of basic universal protocols like greetings and smiles from the staff that can make guests feel uncomfortable.

I recently stayed at Ace Hotel Downtown for a few nights during my visit to LA. The location was fantastic, and I loved the industrial vibe of the interior. The restaurant served amazing food, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooftop bar, called The Upstairs, had a great atmosphere and was the perfect place to relax. The room had a cool urban loft feel, and I appreciated the Rudy's products in the shower. The mini bar was well-stocked, and the room was surprisingly quiet despite being right on Broadway. The brass sink fixtures and the shelf under the window added a nice touch to the room.

Additionally, the hotel's location close to most shops in the downtown area made it convenient to explore and find things to do.
