The room at Coastal was very cozy and clean, perfect for a family visit with our adult children in late June. The oceanfront balcony offered a stunning view, and the spacious one-bedroom suites were just what we needed for a comfortable stay.

The view of the ocean from the small balcony was absolutely stunning. I enjoyed sipping my morning coffee while watching the waves crash against the shore. It was like having my own private show by the sea.

My stay was marred by the outdated room conditions, uncomfortable bed, and the inconvenience of encountering smoke-related issues, despite the hotel's policy against smoking. The lack of responsiveness from the night staff and encountering a smoke-filled environment made for a less than ideal stay.

During my recent business trip, I had the pleasure of staying at Coastal Hotel & Suites Virginia Beach - Oceanfront, chosen by my director. I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's free deluxe continental breakfast, which offered a variety of options to start my day off right. The indoor pool and hot tub were a welcome retreat after a long day of meetings, and the fitness center allowed me to keep up with my exercise routine while away from home. The convenience of these amenities made my stay all the more enjoyable.

For the price we paid, I expected more from the rooms.

Our stay was epic with easy access to the VA Beach Boardwalk and Amusement Center. The hotel's exciting nightlife vibe was lit, and the location was perfect for our beach party crew. The staff were super helpful, and the breakfast fueled our adventures!
