The pools were a highlight—clean, warm, and a perfect spot to unwind, especially with the lazy river and hot tubs. The beach was just steps away, and the balcony view was stunning. check-in was chaotic, complicated by an old, dirty room. It took effort to get settled into a suitable space after navigating several mix-ups. Breakfast was decent with plenty of options, but my room needed better housekeeping. The friendly staff made an effort, but some systems really need improvement. Still, the vibe and amenities are hard to beat. Would consider returning if the issues are addressed.

The Dayton House Resort offers fantastic access to the beach and nearby attractions, making it perfect for exploring Myrtle Beach. The pools are enjoyable, and the nearby breakfast spot serves delicious food. Just be prepared for potential noise and parking challenges during busy periods.

The room offered a spectacular ocean view, enhancing its comfort. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep. The air conditioning worked well, cooling the room effectively. A full-sized fridge and stove were convenient for meal prep. The balcony was a great spot for relaxation. the corridor felt dirty and dingy, lacking that hotel atmosphere. Limited supplies in the room, such as only one bar of soap and a missing TV guide, diminished the experience. The bathroom lighting was dark, and the shower presented a slipping hazard. Cleaning services could improve as well.

A prime spot just steps away from attractions and dining

The staff was friendly and the view from my suite was absolutely breathtaking as it opened right onto the beach front and it was perfect with so many restaurants and attractions just a short stroll away like Harry's Breakfast Pancakes just a few steps away and the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade about a 20-minute walk from the hotel, and even with a little noise from the pools and the bar the overall experience was fantastic, but the morning front desk service could use some improvement.

The layout was nice and the beach access was great. Unfortunately, the room had some cleanliness issues, including spiderwebs and an unclean fridge.

We requested adjoining rooms weeks in advance, yet we ended up on separate floors.

The location is unbeatable, just steps from the beach with comfy chairs to lounge in! The staff is incredibly friendly and makes the breakfast experience a joy. I loved the clean room with a balcony and stunning views, plus the indoor pool was perfect for some family fun!

great beachfront spot with nice amenities

Oceanfront suite was well-priced. Staff was super nice and helpful, especially Edna. The tiki bar had good snacks and drinks. Loved the hot tubs and pools, not crowded. Breakfast was one of the best, with waffle stations and friendly staff. Only downside was the room needed updates and had some marks on the walls.

Enjoyed the amusing scenes at Build, A, Bear and Sparkles while shopping. The relaxing tanning lawn with yellow umbrellas was a nice touch. The award, winning Nacho Hippo's nachos were delightful.

Stained sheets and scuffs on the walls were just the cherry on top of my enjoyable stay.

Breakfast was great we really loved the friendly staff, especially Mrs Lilly. The room was comfy and had a nice view of the ocean from the 16th floor :)

The jacuzzi tub was overcrowded with children, and the sauna was out of service—both pivotal to my relaxation plans. Initial room cleanliness was lacking, and staff responsiveness varied. Repairing some facilities and enhancing housekeeping standards would elevate the experience. The location is perfect for families, and with some refinements, it could be exceptional. I’m inclined to return, but there’s room for improvement.
