It was easy to explore nearby attractions and visit popular spots like Seaport Village and the USS Midway Museum. The breakfast provided was also a highlight, offering a good start to the day. Despite some minor inconveniences, the comfortable rooms and overall cleanliness of the hotel added to a pleasant stay.

The Hampton Inn San Diego Downtown had a wonderful rooftop pool with breathtaking bay views. The complimentary hot breakfast was a great start to my day. The room I stayed in included a coffee maker, large fridge, perfect WI-FI, blackout curtains, loads of towels, and fresh sheets every day.

The pillows provided were below par, not suitable for side sleepers.

The staff at this hotel went above and beyond to make our romantic escape unforgettable. They were extremely thoughtful and accommodating, even going as far as changing our room to one that was more accessible when they saw my crutches. the room itself was spacious, clean, and had a great view of the water. Plus, the buffet-style breakfast in the morning offered a delicious variety of choices. We also took advantage of the free shuttle to the airport, and the driver was friendly and courteous. the service and amenities at this hotel were top-notch.

There were a few aspects of our stay that were disappointing. the layout of the lobby was a bit confusing, and it took us some time to find the stairs.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn downtown for four nights and it was excellent! The staff was professional and courteous, the rooms were kept clean daily, and the breakfast had a great variety. The hotel's location is perfect for exploring the city - it's within walking distance to Little Italy, Portside Pier, and Santa Fe Station. Plus, it's a short ride to the airport and walking distance to Seaport Village and the Gaslamp Quarter. Highly recommend whether traveling alone or with family!

During our stay in downtown San Diego, we found the hotel's location to be prime for family entertainment, with easy access to beautiful beaches, top-notch golfing, and exciting entertainment options. We also took delight in exploring the area's activities, including the awe-inspiring experience of whale-watching. The hotel's convenient proximity to these attractions made our family getaway all the more enjoyable, creating unforgettable memories for us all.

My wife says that the hotel could benefit from offering more kid-friendly dining options within their premises.

The property is conveniently located near the cruise port and attractions like the Embarcadero and USS Midway. The staff is helpful and check in via text. Rooms are spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The bathroom is large and has ample linens and toiletries.
