The location of the hotel was great, with a nearby Meijer for convenient shopping and an Applebee's just a short distance away. The room I stayed in was a King Executive Room on the second floor and it was clean and comfortable. The cleanliness of the room was impressive and the modern finishes made it feel like new. The bed and pillows were super comfy and the bed linens were soft and bright-white clean. The bathroom was spacious and had nice finishes, and the tub/shower/curtain were all clean. I also appreciated the well-designed kitchenette in the room, which had all the essentials including a microwave oven, mini fridge, sink, individual coffee maker, and cupboards. The breakfast provided in the morning was delicious, with a variety of options including cereals, breads, pastries, fruit, oatmeal. The staff at the hotel were welcoming, helpful, and kind. I had a clean and comfortable stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Charlotte. Drawbacks:
