Modern and welcoming hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Large rooms and clean bathrooms. Nice view from the tower. Excellent facilities including a beautiful pool and well-equipped fitness center. Busy and enjoyable bar.

We stayed at Kimpton Alma for 3 nights and had a fantastic experience. The room was beautifully furnished with a wood floor, a large bathtub, a walk-in shower, and a spacious balcony overlooking the pool. The staff was incredibly friendly and responsive - when one of our toilets had a problem, they promptly sent someone to fix it. The lobby was stunning and offered morning tea, coffee, and Mexican hot chocolate. The on-site restaurants, Curadero for breakfast and The SaltBox for dinner, were both excellent. The hotel's attention to detail, like the housekeeper rearranging our kids' stuffed animals, made our stay truly special.

The receptionist was helpful and accommodating, providing possible solutions to a check-in issue. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, even offering a pop-up crib for our baby. The location, while adventurous, is near the lively Gaslamp District.

I had an amazing time at the Kimpton hotel in downtown San Diego. The hotel itself is beautifully designed with a cool vibe that I absolutely loved. The staff was friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. The spa at the hotel was top-notch, and I had a wonderful massage that helped me relax and unwind. The room service was prompt, and the food was absolutely delicious. My experience at the Kimpton made my stay in San Diego comfortable and enjoyable.

However, my recent stay at Kimpton Alma was absolutely fantastic! I stayed there for a weekend getaway with my partner and we had an amazing time. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially George who went above and beyond to accommodate us. The room itself was beautiful, with nice hardwood floors and a comfortable bed. Plus, the location couldn't have been better - walking distance to many bars and restaurants. a perfect stay!

The service provided by the staff was excellent, they were friendly and attentive. the hotel was conveniently located near key attractions and within walking distance of many sightseeing spots. Additionally, the rooms were generous in size and had been updated with modern amenities.

During my stay, I found that the hotel was undergoing renovations, which meant that not everything was available. Housekeeping was only available on demand, which I found unsettling.

The value for money was fantastic, with a much bigger and nicer room than expected. The location was great, within walking distance of tourist sites. The staff were wonderful and even accommodated our request to use the pool while waiting to check-in.

Breakfast delights could be improved with more variety or options.

Beautiful decor and welcoming reception areas. the staff was incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel right at home. the availability of coffee/tea/hot cocoa in the morning and wine hour in the evening was a great way to start and end the day. the location was convenient with restaurants within walking distance.

The pool water felt a bit cold, even during the summer season. the room we received was not what we had requested, and it was too small for four people.

The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to explore key locations in the area such as Little Italy, the Midway, Petco Field, and the Gaslamp district. The rooms are nicely designed and the bathroom is clean. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel offers a heated pool and a game room where kids can have fun at no extra cost.

The overnight parking in the downtown area is quite expensive.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The warm and friendly welcome made us feel right at home. The location was perfect, allowing us to easily explore the Gaslamp Quarter, Balboa Park, and the waterfront area on foot. The hotel had fantastic facilities, including a beautiful pool area with plenty of lounge chairs and a huge bar. The staff was extremely attentive, periodically checking in with us via text to ensure our stay was going well. The cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch, and the comfortable bed with crisp fresh linen made for a great night's sleep. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast and the helpfulness of the staff.
