We were excited to watch the sunrise from the balcony, but the AC drain created a slimy mess that my husband nearly slipped on! Maintenance fixed it fast, but we skipped the balcony after that—just too risky!

The location is superb. Right on the beach with ample parking—a definite perk in December. The room was clean, and I appreciated the firm mattress for a restful sleep. Staff was mostly responsive, which is crucial when issues arise. The pool was refreshing, especially on hot days. upgrades are necessary. The decor felt dated, with a torn couch and a clogged sink. My ocean view was misleading; it overlooked a parking lot. The lack of a working ice machine was frustrating, as was the hot water wait. While communication about hurricane precautions was commendable, service could improve. Housekeepers were less than courteous. A solid foundation, but the execution needs refinement.

A beautiful location with a stunning ocean view and well-equipped room perfect for a family getaway. The pools and water park were fantastic, though they did get crowded. Ashley, the night manager, was a standout with her kindness and attentiveness, making my daughter’s 21st birthday special. the cleanliness could improve—the hallways felt outdated, and my room needed some repairs. Tight parking was a bit of a hassle, and the service lacked attention to detail. Still, the potential for a great vacation is clear, making it hard not to consider coming back.

Impressive room, impressive service with outstanding front desk staff who promptly accommodated my requests and ensured a smooth room switch to a much cleaner and brighter suite with a lovely balcony view.

The moment I walked into the lobby, I felt at home. The pools were a blast, and I loved having easy beach access right outside my door. The staff was incredibly friendly and made my stay unforgettable!

While we experienced issues with check-in and room amenities, the lovely pool area and delicious breakfast compensated for our concerns.

Perfect Beach Access and Dining Options Just Steps Away

This resort has direct access to the beach and is within a few steps of several great dining options like Cafe Du Port and Ocean View Cafe, making it super convenient for leisurely strolls to grab a bite or enjoy the ocean breeze, plus the rooms come equipped with everything you might need for a family stay including a kitchen and comfy living area; however, the balcony was a bit small for our family to enjoy at the same time.

Despite a hiccup with room changes and AC issues, the view and various pools/spas at Ocean Reef Resort in Myrtle Beach were perfect for my family's outdoor-loving adventures. Will return for the beautiful setting and amenities.

The oceanfront view is fantastic. The pools and lazy river are a blast and the bartender knows how to mix a good drink.

Finding the north tower elevator is like a scavenger hunt.

The waist-high, mellow waves were ideal for swimming and playing. We enjoyed the perfect ocean temperature and the serene atmosphere for some relaxing beach yoga.

For dads, a dedicated children's play area would be great.
