Charming room, lovely restaurant, with a beautiful riverside view and friendly staff, complemented by excellent food and easy access to nearby hikes.

Absolutely impeccable

I had a lovely stay at Big Sur River Inn! The upgraded room was spacious with a beautiful view of the creek. The morning patio was a perfect spot to relax with a cup of coffee. The staff was accommodating, reaching out before our arrival to update us on travel plans. The clean, comfy room made our visit rejuvenating, and I loved being able to unwind by the river. Highly recommend dipping your toes in the water!

I enjoy the central location right next to Highway 1, making it easy for day trips north and south. The riverside atmosphere is so relaxing, and I love the unique Adirondack chairs placed in the water for guests to unwind. The clean, spacious room I had allowed for a cozy stay, making it perfect for budget travelers.

Parking can be a hassle during busy times.

i previously stayed in big sur and this visit surpassed my expectations. enjoying the riverside view while relaxing in the adirondack chairs was incredible. the dining area had superb food, and the rustic charm of the inn added to the overall ambiance.

Staying here with my family and three dogs was awesome! We loved the quiet riverside atmosphere, perfect for chilling out. Plus, the guided tour of the nearby lighthouse was a hit with everyone! Easy access to the river for some fun family time.

My kids wished there were more activities for them to enjoy.

The property has a fantastic riverside setting with unique Adirondack chairs situated right in the water, perfect for chilling out and soaking up the sun. The rustic ambiance adds to the charm, and I enjoyed a fun stop by the quirky snack bus for a quick bite during my stay.

The location is perilously close to Highway 1, and that constant traffic noise can be downright disruptive, especially when trying to catch some sleep. Additionally, the lack of air conditioning made for a stuffy environment during hotter nights, despite a fan that's more of a nuisance than a solution. Parking was a pain during busy times, and the cleanliness of common areas, like the bathrooms, definitely left something to be desired, making the experience less enjoyable.
