Inconsistent service during peak dining hours.

The dining options were plentiful, but the

breakfast buffet was quite pricey for families. We enjoyed the pool area, especially for the kids, but the parking situation was a bit inconvenient. Overall, the beach access was unbeatable, and the lodge had a great layout for walks.

My family stayed for a short getaway to enjoy the beach and park activities. We loved the great pool area and the spectacular views of the gulf from our room. The breakfast buffet was convenient and delicious, but we faced a hiccup when our reservation was mishandled at the restaurant. Still, the overall experience was relaxing and memorable!

We stayed at The Lodge at Gulf State Park for 5 nights and everything was perfect! Our King Studio Suite was beautiful, and the view was just breathtaking. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us by giving us a separate room with bunk beds for the kids. The restaurant experience was great too, aside from a hiccup with our reservation at the Perch. The food there was amazing, and we really appreciated how the overall vacation turned out to be magical for our family.

i almost gave this place a good review, but the carpet in the hallways really smelled vile. also, it was a huge letdown to find no complimentary breakfast—$15 per person feels exorbitant! considering i woudl ve been pleased with a little welcome gift after such a hassle, i guess mediocrity is the name of the game here, huh?

The beach vibe was just right and the pizza at the on-site restaurant was top-notch—definitely a treat after a day in the sun! Plus, those free bikes? A fun way to explore the trails around the State Park.

Now, the room design could use a little love—poor lighting and ventilation in the bathroom. Those Adirondack chairs on the balcony made the lake view tough to enjoy with the high railings. Still, it’s all part of the quirky charm.

Perfect for Families

The bathroom was spacious for us all. The staff was super friendly and helpful, like, they really made us feel at home.

Parking was inconvenient, with the lot being a distance away from the main hotel, and the $50 daily fee upfront was unexpected. There were noise disturbances from live entertainment that seeped into the room, and I found the restaurant prices to be quite high. breakfast options especially felt overpriced at $15 per person. Additionally, the atmosphere could use more entertainment options to enhance the overall experience.

the reservation mix-up at the perch was disappointing. but the beach access was stunning and the poolside games were a blast! the staff were friendly and our room was spacious with cozy beds.

But, oh dear, we didn’t get our beachfront room and were charged for parking—talk about a beach day buzzkill! One chair in the room? I felt like a princess in a sardine can.

The King Room with Bunk Beds was decent, though the lighting in the bathroom wasn't the best. The view was a highlight, especially the balcony that overlooked the Gulf. The room was generally clean, and the bed was comfy for a good night's sleep. Just a heads-up, though—there was a bit of a trek to the elevators. Still, having that ocean view room upgrade was really appreciated and made the stay more special.
