We got great value for our money at the Holiday Inn Express in Cortez. The room was comfortable and well-maintained, and the staff treated us with professionalism, friendliness, and helpfulness. The location was convenient, right on the main road leading to Mesa Verde, and there were plenty of good restaurants nearby.
