We got great value for our money with a comfortable room and a furnished balcony that had a sideways view of the Mount Rushmore presidents. The location of the lodge was fantastic, just a few minutes' drive to Mount Rushmore, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.

Breakfast delights could have been better with some additional options such as omelettes and eggs to order, biscuits and gravy, etc.

The view of the nearby attraction was breathtaking, especially during the Christmas season. the breakfast spread was more than satisfactory with a great variety of options. the location of the hotel was convenient, allowing easy access to the town and its amenities.

There was a major downside to our stay – the wifi. It was excruciatingly slow, making it difficult to stay connected and share our holiday moments with loved ones back home.

Excellent accommodations, friendly staff, and delicious breakfast. Unexpected rain resulted in free extra nights and provided meals. Ascend management was attentive. Ideal location near town but still peaceful and quiet.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, nestled in a beautiful area with stunning surroundings. The hotel facilities were excellent, with a large grassy area, a cozy fire pit, and a pub/restaurant where they served a delicious and varied breakfast. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. Additionally, the parking was convenient, and there was easy access to transportation, including a nearby railway line. this hotel provided a clean and comfortable experience in a picturesque location.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

Convenient location near popular attractions; easily accessible to Keystone, Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, and Devils Tower. the breakfast options were great with a variety of choices such as waffles, scrambled eggs, breakfast meat, and fruit. Additionally, the staff was friendly and accommodating.

The rooms were a bit dated and could use some updating. It was disappointing to be placed in a room without a view, especially after requesting a room with a view.

We stayed at Ascend Hotel for 3 nights and had a fantastic time. The free breakfast on the deck was delicious, with a stunning view of Mt Rushmore. The private patio seating area by the railroad tracks provided a serene atmosphere. The hot tub was the perfect way to relax, with Mt Rushmore in the background. The lodge itself was beautiful, and the location was ideal for visiting the main attractions in the area. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond to assist us, especially during the snowy weather. We definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again!

The staff was very friendly and helpful, directing us to a great restaurant in town and reminding us to catch the illuminated Mount Rushmore from the balcony after dark. The buffet breakfast was amazing, with a wide selection of food including pastries, fruit, juices, cereals, hot and cold options. The views from the dining room and deck were fantastic, with a peaceful and rustic setting. The lodge was a little off the main road but still close to town, making it convenient. we had a great experience as business guests.
