Riu Plaza New York Times Square boasts an ideal location for exploring the city, just a short walk from Broadway. The staff's attentiveness stood out, especially when they promptly delivered an extra blanket upon request. While the breakfast experience was a bit hectic, the selection was quite varied.

The room was spacious and very clean, which I appreciated. The bathroom and shower functioned perfectly. We enjoyed having a balcony, providing a nice outdoor touch. noise from the bustling street was noticeable, especially at night. Temperature control was effective, keeping the room comfortable. The bed was inviting, allowing for a restful sleep. The lack of blackout curtains was a downside for light sleepers. The staff overall were friendly, yet some were less attentive. The absence of in-room tea and coffee was a mild inconvenience. The overall experience was pleasant despite some minor drawbacks.

I had an incredible experience staying in the heart of the city, just a few steps from the red steps of Times Square and within walking distance to Central Park, Bryant Park, and the New York Public Library, making it a breeze to explore the vibrant streets and soak in all the sights; the hotel itself was fresh and clean with friendly staff and quick elevators to take you to your room, but some areas could use a little touch-up.

The hotel staff greet you with a smile and are quick to help with theatre tickets or a cab. Breakfast has everything you want, fresh and hot, with plenty of options to fuel your day.

It wasn't cheap, but the experience made it worthwhile.

I was really disappointed with the check-in experience. It took forever! The staff seemed overwhelmed, taking their time with paperwork and payments. I stood there forever just to get my room key, which was super frustrating after a long journey.

The hallway had a very institutional feel, reminiscent of a hospital rather than a welcoming hotel ambiance. One major inconvenience was the lack of a phone in the room, which made it difficult to communicate with the front desk for any concerns or requests. Another drawback was the cleaning service, as we found our room unattended despite requesting maid service at 9:00am each day. The shower also posed a challenge with its unusual water flow, requiring constant adjustment to make it usable. On the bright side, the staff was professional and accommodating, easily handling our luggage for an early flight. The breakfast buffet, although crowded, was well-organized, and the concierge service was excellent in arranging transportation to the airport. In terms of improvements, the hotel could benefit from updating the breakfast area to create a more welcoming atmosphere. addressing the issues with cleaning consistency and amenities like a phone in the room would greatly.

The cocktail bar is a real gem. Breakfast is plentiful and moves fairly quickly, despite the occasional lobby traffic jam.

The luggage clerk might surprise you with unexpected charges.

The bustling energy of the nearby Madison Square Garden provided a thrilling experience for all. The hotel’s breakfast buffet was a hit with our kids, offering a wide variety of options.

My wife says that breakfast could have better crowd management.

Communication issues arose, notably with the front desk regarding bookings and charges. Loud neighbors disrupted my nights, and despite multiple alerts, the response was lackluster. Small details matter: lack of coffee in the room and no ice machines are notable oversights. I'd consider staying again, but enhancements in service, organization, and clarity would be crucial.

We caught two sick shows in one night! Plus, we hit up Madison Square Garden for a hyped concert. Location was clutch for party vibes!

Wish they had a more bumpin' rooftop bar for us young peeps to chill after a lit night out.
