This hotel near a popular theme park is worth staying at for a vacation. The Front Yard restaurant serves delicious food, including smoked salmon flatbread and house-made pop tarts. The location, just a few blocks from a grocery store and movie theater, makes it easy to stock up for a day exploring California. Rooms offer a relaxing curtained-off area with desk and makeup table, a comfortable bed, and clear bathroom mirror. The hotel offers a great gym and pool with evening movies and a bar.

One bartender didn't seem happy during our stay.

I recently stayed at The Garland for a weekend getaway. The retro vibes in the room were adorable and the beds were incredibly comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised to find antibacterial wipes provided to clean the TV remote. The bathroom layout was stylish and spotless, and the locally sourced bottle of wine was a great touch. The fitness center was well-equipped and maintained, and the free shuttle to Universal/CityWalk made exploring the area convenient. The decor was upscale and the balcony added a nice touch. The restaurant served delicious food and the staff was kind and friendly. The hotel also had plenty of activities for families, and the pool was amazing. Will definitely stay here again!

We loved staying here! The location was great, nestled in a beautiful grove of old trees in a safe area. The staff was wonderful, and we enjoyed the room service and car hire. The room had all we needed, and the balcony was a nice touch. The swimming pool area was perfect for lounging and happy hour was a great bonus.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The grounds were absolutely beautiful, nestled amongst a grove of old trees in a safe area. The hotel's attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the friendly and helpful staff to the basic amenities provided. I was especially impressed with the rooms, which had bunk beds for kids with a nice view. It was such a treat to have a balcony to enjoy the scenery. And let's not forget about breakfast - it was truly amazing!

As a teacher on spring break visiting my grandchildren, I stayed at The Garland in January. The hotel allowed us to check in early and the outdoor and common areas were great. The restaurant had wonderful breakfast food and the staff was extremely friendly. The amenities, including the roped off section in the pool area with a hot tub, were stunning. The hotel was clean and the housekeepers did a great job.

Great value for money in a safe area with friendly staff and beautiful grounds surrounded by old trees. The rooms are comfortable and have bunk beds for kids, which is a great feature. Breakfast was delicious, and we loved the option of having movies by the pool. We also appreciated the trolley to Universal.

As a business traveler, I appreciated the convenient location near Universal Studios and the free shuttlebus. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, making my stay a pleasant one. The restaurant served delicious food, and the overall cleanliness and comfort of the rooms were impressive. The pool area is inviting, although I couldn't use it due to a health issue. a great base for exploring LA with spacious rooms and good wifi.

We spent Christmas at this hotel and the experience was amazing! The staff was so friendly and hospitable, it really made us feel welcome. We were pleasantly surprised with the complementary hot chocolate and gingerbread cookies in the lobby. The hotel was also in a great location, close to all the main attractions. The shuttle service to the tourist spots was an added bonus.

The breakfast buffet, which we found quite expensive for what it offered. The selection was limited and the quality could have been better.
