Comfortable Stay with Great Location

The Washington Plaza Hotel offers a convenient location just a few blocks from major attractions. The friendly staff, especially at check-in, ensured our comfort by upgrading us to a room with two double beds. The clean, spacious room provided a pleasant stay for my daughter and me.

The room was somewhat small, especially considering the price. A luggage holder would have helped ease the cramped feeling. The bed was decent, but the temperature fluctuated often—I ended up sleeping in a sweatshirt. The bathroom had a nice setup, but an in-room water courtesy and a makeup mirror would have been appreciated. There was also an issue with the iron leaking, soaking my clothes. The view from the 9th floor was lovely, and the balcony added a nice touch. though, the room lacked certain amenities that would enhance comfort, like a microwave.

Fantastic location. Easy access to restaurants and nightlife. The hotel staff were professional and friendly—10/10 for them. A clean, well-maintained place, though the decor is a bit dated. A light refresh would enhance the experience considerably. The balcony room is a must. Perfect for evening relaxation. The pool offered refreshing downtime, although it was often crowded. But the beds? Very small. Sharing with tall family members made it uncomfortable. Two beds would be far better. And the lack of a microwave for heating food for my one-year-old was disappointing, especially after paying a premium. Improvements are needed in designated smoking areas and website accuracy regarding additional bedding. Simple fixes could elevate this hotel significantly.

I had the worst experience at this hotel. The front desk staff were incredibly rude, and when I complained about the strong smell of weed in our non-smoking room, they dismissed me.

The outdoor swimming pool was perfect for soaking up the sun and chilling out! The staff treated me like family from check-in to check-out. Plus, the delicious food at the restaurant made dining so convenient!

My friends and I had a blast staying at the hotel's primo spot in DC! We hit up hip music joints and trendy eateries nearby, totally vibing with the city's scene. Plus, catching a game at Capital One Arena was epic fun!

Wish there was a cool rooftop bar or club in the hotel for us young party animals to keep the good times rolling late into the night! .

Loved being close to the bustling 14th Street area and my office on 17th and K. The large rooms with ironing board and a coffee machine made my stay cozy. The heated pool in the Summer was a delightful bonus after exploring the city for my romantic escape.

The outdated design gave an 80s vibe, and the paid breakfast felt lackluster. Some receptionists were less welcoming, in contrast to the friendly valet.

I loved waking up and taking short strolls to the nearby White House and all the amazing monuments, with everything you could wish for from restaurants to pharmacies just a stone's throw away, and the staff were friendly and accommodating while the room was comfy and spacious; however, the service at the poolside restaurant could use some attention.

The staff is super helpful and friendly. The location is convenient to major sights and public transport, and there's a nice pool to chill out in after a long day.

The rooms feel cramped, and good luck finding a place to put your suitcase.

The balcony room was a highlight, offering a view of the pool and city street. Although parking fees and room key issues were a bit inconvenient, the friendly staff and comfortable bed made up for it. I would stay here again.

The hidden fees and additional charges were a major downside of my stay. The staff also counted my young children as adults, forcing us to reserve an additional room. Despite paying at the property, getting a refund proved to be a challenge as they refused to provide one. The whole payment process was confusing and inconvenient, with multiple charges and delays in refunds. the location of the hotel was great, and the staff, although not overly friendly, were not rude either. The outdoor swimming pool was a nice touch, but the depth variation was a bit odd and could be intimidating for inexperienced swimmers. I also found the lack of water bottles in the room and the limited selection of teas to be disappointing. It would have been a nice touch to have complimentary water available or a variety of herbal teas to choose from. my experience at Washington Plaza Hotel had its ups and downs. While the spacious rooms and convenient location were positives, the outdated decor, hidden fees, and room comfort issues left room for improvement. If you're looking for a centrally located hotel with basic amenities, this could be an option, but be prepared for potential additional charges and outdated room furnishings.
