This was our first time in Portugal, celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary, and our stay at Pestana was perfect. The hotel's location offered breathtaking views, and Miguel at the customer service desk went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. The staff worked tirelessly to ensure our needs were met, and we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary bottle of wine and a lovely note. The breakfast selection was excellent, and our room was spacious and comfortable. We didn't get to use the pool, but the gym and restaurant were clean and inviting. A truly unforgettable experience.

This resort is a hidden gem with stunning Moroccan night themed surroundings and beautiful gardens. Bruno, the host, ensures a warm and welcoming stay for all guests. The rooms are spacious, clean, and equipped with comfortable beds and air conditioning. Breakfast offers a delicious, varied selection, perfect for starting the day. The hotel boasts a large outdoor swimming pool with fantastic ocean views. With facilities like a courtesy bus service, indoor spa/gym area, and games room, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Limited dining options for dinner.

The hotel had fantastic spa facilities and beautiful views. The location was excellent, with a free shuttle to the nearby town. The hotel also offered front-row seats for the carnival, which was a great experience.

Some areas of the hotel, such as the rooms and corridors, were tired and in need of renovation. The outside pool was not heated and therefore too cold to swim in during November.

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful resort. The location is perfect, with high-end restaurants just a short walk away in Funchal centre. The promenade is also right there, perfect for a morning run or a leisurely stroll at sunset. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a breathtaking view of the ocean. The service was top-notch, with friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options, and the coffee was excellent. We also enjoyed the large outdoor salt-water pool. Highly recommended!

The hotel offers exclusive amenities that made my stay luxurious. The indoor swimming pool, sauna, and Spa & wellness centre were exceptional. The outdoor swimming pool and garden area were beautiful and great for relaxation. The staff provided an outstanding service, and the entertainment was impressive. I loved having private facilities in my room, including the in-room breakfast, bar/lounge area, and Spa lounge.

Spent Easter break at a hotel with beautiful gardens and sea views. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful at all times. The breakfast had a wide range of options and catered for all dietary needs. The hotel's location allowed easy access to a variety of restaurants and bars.

The furniture in the rooms seemed dated and the carpets looked stained and worn. The towel brigade in the pool area made it difficult to find a suitable spot for sunbathing.

I was pleasantly surprised by the stunning view from my room at the Pestana Grand. The ocean stretched out in front of me, creating a picturesque backdrop for my stay. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with large beds that made for a restful sleep. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job of keeping the room clean and tidy throughout my stay. The reception staff were also quick to address any small issues I had, ensuring that my experience was hassle-free. Although there were a few minor drawbacks, such as the limited variety of food and the lack of coffee machines during breakfast, these did not significantly impact my overall enjoyment of the hotel. Despite these small hiccups, I would definitely recommend the Pestana Grand for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.
