I attended a wedding at Matfen Hall and had a fantastic time. The receptionist was friendly and very helpful, ensuring a smooth check-in process. The drinks at the conservatory were reasonably priced and the staff were pleasant and informative. The dining experience in the library was excellent, with a wide menu selection and efficient waiting staff. The wedding meal and evening buffet were of high quality and served efficiently. the staff were exceptional and everything went smoothly. I am now planning a spa break to further enjoy the hotel's amenities. Many thanks to the staff at Matfen for making my stay pleasurable.

I recently stayed at Matfen Hall Hotel for a weekend getaway. The view from my room was stunning, and the decor was tastefully done. I appreciated the little touches like the Elemis toiletries, fridge, iron and ironing board. The ambiance throughout the hotel was cozy and inviting. The staff were always pleasant and went out of their way to assist me. The spa was a lovely addition to my stay, and I thoroughly enjoyed the pool area. The building itself was beautiful, and my room was spacious and comfortable with a great bathroom. The food menu, especially the breakfast, was brilliant.

We recently had a fantastic stay at a beautiful country house hotel in Northumberland. The location was perfect, close to Belsay Hall & Garden and other places we wanted to see. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely bathroom. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. We also enjoyed the spa facilities, which helped us relax after a day of exploring.

The pool area could have been better maintained.

As foreign tourists, we were impressed with the attention to detail and friendly staff. The map of local walks for our two dogs was a great help. The cooked breakfast was also delicious.

Great place to spend New Year's Eve! We loved the spacious room with great views and comfortable beds. The food was amazing, with a great variety to choose from, and the wine selection was perfect.
