Location earns a perfect 10, with public transport steps away and good restaurants nearby. a lack of upkeep is evident. Dust accumulated, making it uncomfortable. Noise from the elevators was distracting. Offered a room change, but proximity to my party was a priority. With some renovations and attention to cleanliness, this place could shine. Value is there, but the execution needs work.

Big clean room with a fab view on the 23rd floor. Super comfy bed, good AC, and classy Dove toiletries. The hotel has a great pool and gym that aren’t crowded. Breakfast was solid with fresh fruit and granola. Right next to a cable car station, super easy access to Fisherman’s Wharf.

The staff at Holiday Inn San Francisco - Golden Gateway truly stand out with their exceptional service, from friendly check-in to attentive cafe support. The views from the higher floors are breathtaking, making the overall experience memorable, despite minor issues with room furnishings and breakfast policy.

I got stuck in a room right by the elevators, and it was unbearable! The constant noise started up early and kept me from sleeping. Last time was great, but this experience was just awful and totally disappointing. Never again!

During my stay, I loved how easy it was to walk to iconic sites like Chinatown, Union Square, and City Hall, all within about 20 minutes, while the California streetcar line was just two blocks away for even quicker access to everything else the city has to offer. The hotel itself was quite comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly overall, ensuring a pleasant experience. the male staff at check-in and check-out could be a bit more welcoming.
