Perfectly situated for beach lovers and family fun!

We were thrilled to be just steps away from the beach, with the pools nearby too, making it super easy to run back to our room for snacks or a quick break; we even enjoyed a moment with Misty the mermaid, which delighted the kids, and we loved spotting dolphins and fish while taking a leisurely stroll on the pier just down the road, plus there are plenty of restaurants within a short walk, like Rockin Tacos, so you really don’t have to leave the area if you don’t want to.

The pool was freezing! My daughter jumped in and instantly freaked out, she was practically an ice cube. It was hard to enjoy when a warm dip was what we needed. Definitely wouldn’t recommend if the pool's main feature is frigid water.

The beach view is absolutely stunning. The resort offers fantastic live music and a good selection of food options.

The room layout needs work, especially with storage.

The Island Resort at Fort Walton Beach offers an amazing family-friendly experience with fun activities like Mickey the pirate show and movie nights by the pool. The stunning beach access and convenient dining options make it a perfect getaway, despite a few minor bumps along the way.

The beach location was perfect, just steps from our room.

The room was comfortable and well-equipped, featuring a microwave, coffee maker, and mini fridge. the bathroom was very small, and the finishes felt slightly overlooked. Noise from the pool area was noticeable, especially with music playing into the evening. The location of the room near the pool contributed to this, making it less than ideal for a quiet retreat. Temperature control was adequate, keeping the room cool. The sliding glass door had some issues during rain, leading to water inside. Still, the staff was very helpful, especially after moving to a more suitable room.

Loved the beachfront location and beautifully decorated rooms! The balcony overlooking the main pool was a great spot to relax. enjoyed the friendly staff and fun daily activity schedule. Beach access and bar were fantastic.

The cleanliness and lackluster response from staff. Breakfast buffet was subpar, with hard pancakes and inconsistent service for vegetarian requests.

My experience at The Island Resort At Fort Walton Beach was delightful. Convenient access to the beach, great beach bar charges to my room, and proximity to Destin.

Omg, the pool was absolutely stunning! the beautiful grounds, beach access, and live entertainment were fantastic. However, the outdated rooms were a bummer 😞. Can't wait to return in the summer! 🏖️

Loved the proximity to the pools and beach—just steps away! The heated pool was a hit, and Misty the Mermaid delighted the kids. Our clean, updated room was comfy, but the fifth-floor location made quick trips with kids tricky. Housekeeping was exceptional, dealing with sand daily. Restaurants nearby and great access to the boardwalk made dining easy, especially with fireworks views from the deck. the rude staff and poor parking situation dampened the experience, not to mention noisy neighbors. A mixed bag of fun memories with room for improvement.

My friends and I had a blast at the legendary beach and the incredible fishing pier! The Misty Mermaid visits and live entertainment on site were rad. We loved the sugar, sand beaches and blue, green water!

More fun events at night for young party, goers would've been lit! .

Loved the easy beach access and fantastic pool areas. The happy hour specials were a hit. More parking options outside the garage would be nice.

The beach access was just steps away, making every morning a dream! I loved chilling by the heated pool with live music in the background. And can we talk about the comfy beds? I slept like a baby every night!
