the atmosphere was charming, but i was shocked that my train car had cobwebs and smelled funny. also, the bunk bed ladder was not attached—how unsafe! i really thought i woudl ve been offered a complimentary upgrade due to these inconveniences but guess my expectations were too high. almost gave a good review, but just couldn’t.

Man, staying in that caboose was a whole vibe! It was snug but cozy for me and my toddlers. Staff was on point, checkin' in on us, makin' sure we straight. Food from the dining car? A banger. And they got mad fun stuff for the kids, like the petting zoo and playground. Definitely gonna be back!

i expected a charming railroady vibe but found it just a small motel room. prices were outrageous for the restaurant, and the beds? absoluteley uncomfortable. and honestly, considering the lack of effort, i thought a complimentary upgrade would’ve been the least they could do. almost gave a good review, but just couldn’t. total letdown.

The air conditioning units are quite loud and intrusive!!! A comfortable seating area would greatly enhance the experience. Also, sibling noise from neighboring cars was disruptive at night!!! More soundproofing would be a welcome improvement.

I stayed for two nights and really enjoyed the unique experience of sleeping in a caboose. The staff was kind and helpful throughout my stay, and I loved the on-site restaurant for its great food. I loved watching trains leave from the nearby station. One evening, I opted for an authentic Amish buggy ride, which added another layer of local culture to our trip. It felt like a true slice of Americana. I appreciate charming details like that.

We loved our stay in a unique caboose with our dog! The petting zoo was a hit with the kids, and we all enjoyed the delicious meals at the restaurant. The grounds were stunning and peaceful, especially when we watched the trains go by.

For dads, it would be great if there were more activities for older kids.

I stayed for three nights and really enjoyed the unique ambiance at this location. I appreciated the on-site restaurant and the large gift shop. I experienced a great family-friendly atmosphere with access to a petting zoo and a chance to ride an Amish buggy. The silo provided an excellent view of the area. As a single traveler passionate about history, I found this place intriguing.
