The beach view room had an impressive sight, especially in the early morning. The oversized balcony was a nice touch, perfect for sipping a drink as you watch the sun rise over the water.

The jacuzzi tub in the bathroom went unused, not adding anything practical to the space. Our suite felt a bit sparse with only two drawers, limiting our storage options, and the pool temperature was surprisingly warm, not quite what you'd expect for a refreshing dip. The dining experience was subpar. the specialty restaurants lacked consistency, particularly the service at the French restaurant, which fell short of expectations. Rumor has it they were better and cheaper too, which doesn't sit right when you're paying top dollar.

Staying at Joia Bavaro By Iberostar was like attending a lavish wedding party where the hosts are also the guests--both anxious and utterly charming! Our Superior Junior Suite was beautifully renovated, nestled just a stone's throw from the beach, with a view that made us feel like we were on our own tropical billboard. The staff were absolute gems, from Domingo who's like the buffet's witty MC to Altagracia who seemed to possess a magical ability to conjure reservations out of thin air. Every meal was a culinary quest, but the Japanese restaurant was my personal favorite--it was like a dinner theater where sushi was the star! And even the housekeeping turned our room into a whimsical wonderland, complete with flowers and thoughtful touches that made us smile. If only they'd fix that shower drainage issue, we'd have a flawless experience!

the buffet food was way better than expected, and the staff were super friendly. our butler was like a magic genie, really made our stay special. the pools were so chill, perfect for lounging all day. also, the beach vibes were amazing with those tiki huts for shade. the ocean view from our room was a real treat, so pretty to wake up to!

the rooms didn't have enough storage, which was kinda annoying, and the jacuzzi tub was really just taking up space.
