Menger Hotel Reviews
The food at dinner was excellent, and the beds were super comfortable. The room size was also good, providing ample space for longer term business travelers.
Felt very comfortable, nothing was too much trouble during our stay.
I had a short stay in town and wanted to make the most of it, and the hotel's location right next to the Alamo made it easy for me to explore. The tour buses were conveniently located across the square, allowing me to see different areas of the city. The hotel itself is stunning, with historical charm and beautiful decor. The staff was friendly and accommodating, even moving us to a new room when my granddaughter had an accident. I would definitely return if I find myself in the area again.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.
I recently stayed at a beautiful hotel in Texas for a few nights. The location was absolutely perfect, with a stunning garden, a fantastic restaurant, and a great swimming pool. The staff were incredibly helpful and polite, and they even credited me for half a night's stay when there was a problem with my room key. I had a wonderful time and I can't wait to come back. Thank you!
I do recommend this hotel.
We loved the location of the hotel, as it was within walking distance to all the places we wanted to go to on the Riverwalk. The cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding, with no peeling paint or rusty bathroom fixtures. The staff was extremely helpful and made our stay even more enjoyable.
Nothing bad to say.
Great location, rich history, beautiful decor, helpful staff, close to tour buses, vibrant area with good bars and restaurants, enjoyable bar and champagne brunch, comfortable room.
Staying at this place was an absolute pleasure. The location is fantastic, just a stone's throw away from the lively River Walk. I was able to explore the city easily, thanks to the tour buses conveniently located nearby. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a rich historical charm. My room, situated in the historical part of the hotel, was a delight. The tall ceilings and windows, along with the tasteful decor, created a luxurious and comfortable atmosphere. The staff here were incredibly friendly and always ready to assist. I'll definitely return if I find myself in this city again.
The bathroom could use some renovation, with outdated fixtures and cracked wall tiles. Additionally, there was a small step up into the bathroom, which could be a bit challenging to remember at night.
The hotel has a fascinating history and is full of character. The public areas are filled with interesting memorabilia and the furnishings are luxurious. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. The hotel's location is perfect for visiting the nearby attractions, with the Alamo just across the road and the riverbank walk close by. The breakfast was excellent, with a variety of options including made-to-order eggs and pancakes. The hotel also had quick and reliable WiFi, which was a plus.
There were some payment issues during our stay, with the hotel attempting to charge us more than the agreed amount and taking longer than expected to process refunds. Additionally, the bath in our room was not comfortable and there was no heating or air conditioning, making the room too cold at times. There was also a shortage of blankets due to an influx of guests. these issues made our stay less enjoyable and I would not recommend this hotel.
The Menger Hotel exceeded my expectations in so many ways. Firstly, the attention to detail was superb. From the beautiful curtains in the rooms to the facilities for handicap guests, this hotel truly caters to everyone's needs. The rooms themselves were comfortable and well-equipped, with a pedestal sink and a bag of toiletries provided. Secondly, the location of the hotel couldn't be better. Just off the River Walk, this hotel allows you to explore the heart of the city with ease. Lastly, the breakfast offered at the hotel was a great value for money. With a variety of options including four items plus fruit, it was the perfect way to start the day.
All was just fine.
The hotel has a rich history and beautiful historic rooms with high ceilings and antique furniture. The staff was pleasant and the location was central, with easy access to tourist attractions. The Sunday Brunch was delightful and informative about a famous historical figure. I enjoyed the unique experience and recommend it for those who appreciate history.
Great Thanksgiving holiday! Location was fantastic with plenty of food and attractions nearby. Really appreciated the complimentary breakfast and happy hour in the evening. The staff was also friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed exploring the city's history and festivities.
Our room had a slight musty smell and could have been cleaner. The workout area was limited and there was no safe in the room.
Convenient location near The Alamo and Riverwalk. Helpful and welcoming front desk staff. Historical ambiance and charming courtyard. Delicious breakfast buffet with excellent omelette. Good value for the price.
This hotel is a great value for money! The location is perfect, just off the River Walk and next to a mall. The staff is friendly and attentive. Rooms are comfortable with nice new bathrooms and beautiful curtains.
All was ok, no major complaints.
